Mathematical Association of NSW – brings live mathematics show from UK to Australia. MANSW supports Government initiatives to persuade more talented students to study Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) – by having gifted entertainers introduce students to the wonders of maths.

Maths Inspiration is one of the largest maths enrichment programs for teenagers in the UK. It's a chance for 15-17 year olds, even those who aren’t really into maths, to experience three of the UK's most entertaining maths personalities live on stage, presenting mathematics in the context of exciting, real-world situations.

The Hidden Maths of Technology –Matt ParkerThere are numbers all around us that make our modern lives possible. From rescuing lost words in text messages to protecting your facebook profile, you rely on numbers to transmit and protect information every day without even knowing it.

Pepsi and Peace Deals - Rob EastawayCoca Cola and Pepsi have been competing viciously with each other for decades. Collaboration and competition are everywhere around us, from fizzy drink marketing to football and from dating to politics. Mathematics and game theory can tell us a lot about why peace, harmony and love are not easy to achieve.

The Hidden Connections - Hannah FryWe all like to think of ourselves as strong, independent and single-minded individuals. But hidden connections affect everything from the movement of crowds to fashions and memes, and can be used to understand the mathematics of friendships and even catch the odd serial killer or two.

The show has three interactive talks, an interval and a lively Q and A session at the end.

The presenters

Rob Eastaway. Appears regularly on national BBC radio to talk about the maths of everyday life and has given maths talks across the world to audiences of all ages.

Matt Parker grew up in Western Australia then headed to England in 2002. Since then he’s gained a national reputation as one of the UK’s top maths presenters, with his unique mix of maths and comedy.

Hannah Fry is a lecturer in Mathematics at the University College London. She's a star of the Head Squeeze channel on YouTube, on topics ranging from dating to riots. Her PhD was in the mathematics of fluid flows but she now spends her days looking at the patterns in human behaviour.
