Why do we invite the Holy Spirit?The Holy Spirit, the spirit of God and Jesus, will not come into our liveswithout an invitation. He wants to live within us, to comfort us and to teachus. ... He wants to go before us as we witness to others about God's love and atransformed life.

What does Jesus say about the Holy Spirit?In John 15:26 Jesus says of the Holy Spirit: "But when the Helper comes, whomI will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from theFather, he will bear witness about me."

What is the primary mission of the Holy Spirit?The ultimate missional role of the Holy Spirit is to make Jesus Christ known to theworld and his saving power through his death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit isseen as the continuing presence of Christ, and his agent to fulfil the taskof mission.

Who is the Holy Spirit?The Holy Spirit is referred to as the Lord and Giver of Life in theNicene creed. He is The Creator Spirit, present before the creationof the universe and through his power everything was made inJesus Christ, by God the Father.

Our Catechism Class Activities• Lessons :

• 20 lessons; Each term will have 10 lessons• Classes will be conducted online in PowerPoint Presentation

format, along with discussions, audio-visuals and question-answer session towards the end of class.

• Bible :• Our Portion: Acts of the Apostles, one chapter per week.• Question/Answers session will be conducted based on the

chapter during the class.

• Criteria for receiving Confirmation• Attendance (90%)• Test Marks• Bible Marks

• Prayers Opening and Closing prayer• We will begin every class with the Holy Spirit Prayer and a prayer of

the week. Brief explanation will be given about the prayer of theweek and the same to be learnt by children during the week

• We will close the class with a Prayer to the Guardian Angel.• As a preparation for your sacrament, you are reminded to pray the

weekly prayer during the Holy Rosary every day.

• Evaluation• At the end of each term• Portion includes lessons covered and Acts Chapters

• Orientation Sessions• Two orientation sessions will be conducted (one during

each term) - Mandatory for Children and Parents to attend

• Seeking companions in your journey• Write to your Grandparents/ God-parents telling them

that you will be receiving confirmation next year and to keep you in their prayers.

• Selecting a Personal Saint • Selecting a Saint to intercede for them on this Journey.

• Activity Books, Prayer List and Holy Spirit Prayer• Activity books, prayer list and the Prayer to the Holy Spirit will be

distributed on Saturday 5 September, 2020 from 9 -10 am –Location Map sent on whatsapp group.

• Parents are requested collect the book and prayers from the Teachers at the scheduled time.

• Retreat• One Retreat will be conducted as preparation for

the sacrament. - Mandatory for Children to attend
