Keeping Track Use Cornerstone, the school’s new software
grading program. Use the school’s homework site and test
calendar. Read Mrs. Field’s newsletter every Monday on
the Teachers Corner. It is essential that parents monitor all graded
work sent home, as well as homework assignment completion, on a daily basis for an accurate account of their child’s academic progress.
Students are still required to write down homework assignments daily.

CROSS-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Students are afforded opportunities for cross-curricular activities throughout the year to strengthen concepts taught.
A new initiative begins this year called Project Based Learning or PBL. This occurs for 50 minutes on Fridays. Our first project is on the topic of being a good friend.
Mrs. Luongo will be giving a talk about PBL after the second session tonight.

MISCELLANEOUS
*Back-up school supplies: Monitor notebooks, binder filler paper, and
pencils. Label personal items.
*Textbooks and workbooks should be covered throughout the school year.
*Lost books or workbooks need to be reported to the homeroom teacher immediately so that the process of replacement can be started.
*Please do not remove “work in progress” from your child’s binder. We sometimes work on projects for more than one day.
