OVERZICHT WEEK 26

In de afgelopen week bleef de to-tale incidentie van raadplegingen bij de huisarts voor griepklachten stabiel op 59 raadplegingen per 100.000 inwoners (inclusief tele-fonische raadplegingen). De incidentie daalde terug bij jonge kinderen in Vlaanderen en bleef stabiel in de andere gewes-ten en leeftijdsgroepen. De incidentie van huisartsconsul-taties voor andere acute respira-toire infecties (inclusief telefoni-sche raadplegingen) in België was laag en bleef stabiel. In Vlaande-ren was er een stijging van de inci-dentie bij kinderen van 5-14 jaar. Het aantal overlijdens (door alle oorzaken) in België begon te stij-gen vanaf week 12 (16 maart). De oversterfte bereikte een piek in week 15. We zien we vanaf 13 april (week 16) een daling van de sterfte en vanaf 11 mei (week 20) is er geen regionale of natio-nale oversterfte meer.

RÉSUMÉ SEMAINE 26

La semaine passée, l’incidence de consultations chez le médecin gé-néraliste pour syndrome grippal a restait stable à 59 consultations pour 100.000 habitants (consulta-tions téléphoniques incluses). L’incidence descendait chez les jeunes enfants en Flandre et res-tait stable dans les autres régions et tranches d’âges. L’incidence de consultations chez le généraliste pour d’autres infec-tions respiratoires aiguës (consul-tations téléphoniques inclus) en Belgique était faible et restait stable. En Flandre, l’incidence parmi les enfants âgés de 5 à 14 ans a augmenté. Le nombre de décès (toutes causes confondues) en Belgique a commencé à augmenter à partir de la semaine 12 (16 mars). La surmortalité a atteint un som-met dans la semaine 15. Nous constatons une diminution de la mortalité à partir du 13 avril (se-maine 16) et à partir du 11 mai (se-maine 20), il n’y a plus de surmor-talité régionale ou nationale.

Last week, the incidence of visits to the general practitioner (includ-ing contacts by phone) for influ-enza-like illness remained stable at 59 contacts per 100,000 inhabit-ants. The incidence decreased again in young children in Flanders and re-mained stable in the other regions and age groups. The incidence of GP visits for other acute respiratory infections (in-cluding contact by phone) in Bel-gium was low and remained sta-ble. In Flanders, there was an in-crease in the incidence in children aged 5-14 years. The number of deaths (all causes) in Belgium began to increase from week 12 (March 16th) on. The excess mortality reached a peak in week 15. We observed a decrease from April 13th (week 16) on and from May 11th (week 20) on there is no longer regional or national excess mortality.

Het aantal influenza infecties gedi-agnosticeerd door de peillaborato-ria is terug op het basisniveau. Het aantal bevestigde diagnoses was laag dit jaar. Onder de griepdiagno-ses deze winter waren er 80% posi-tief voor influenza A, 9% voor influ-enza B en 11% waren niet gety-peerd.

Le nombre d'infections à influenza diagnostiqués par les laboratoires vigies est au niveau de base. Le nombre de diagnostics confirmés était faible cette année. Parmi les échantillons positifs pour influenza cet hiver, 80% sont positifs pour in-fluenza A, 9% positifs pour in-fluenza B et 11% n’ont pas été ty-pés.

The number of influenza infections diagnosed by the sentinel laborato-ries is at baseline level. The number of confirmed diagnoses was low this year. Among the influenza di-agnoses this winter, 80% were pos-itive for influenza A, 9% were posi-tive for influenza B and 11% were not typed.

In de week van 23-29 maart 2020 was 52% van de respiratoire stalen van patiënten gehospitaliseerd voor een ernstige acute respiratoire infectie, positief voor SARS-CoV-2. Voor de daaropvolgende weken werden on-voldoende stalen verzameld. De surveillance door het peilnetwerk van ziekenhuizen wordt later dit jaar hervat.
