Sustainability: It’s our responsibility Assistant Principal Views WEEK 9 AND 10 There is a lot happening in the school this week and next week before we start the Third Term holidays. Please make sure that you check your child has the correct summer uniform to wear now that the weather is beginning to warm up. Please mark your diary with important dates. YEAR TWO SLEEPOVER The sleepover is an important part of the school’s camping program and I know that the Year Two Team have a very exciting night planned. For some students it is the first time they have slept away from home or a relative’s place. It is great preparation for the two night, three day camp to Camp Oasis in Year Three. APOLOGIES Last week I congratulated Jia K of PJB, who was the winner of the previous week’s quiz. I inadvertently spelt her name wrong so I apologise to Jia. 2020 ENROLMENTS If you are yet to enrol your 2020 Prep child please do so before the end of the term. We run tours on a Tuesday at 9.30am if you know of anyone that lives in our zone and is yet to enrol their child for 2020. SCHOOL COMMUNITY END OF TERM CELEBRATION Please don’t forget to join us for a sausage sizzle and games on Monday at 3.45 on the basketball court. There will be drinks, chocolates, chips and sausages for sale so bring along your cash. Items will be $1 or $2. 1:1 NETBOOK INFORMATION The 2020 Year 3-4 Netbook Information was released at the Year 2 meeting on Wednesday night and will be sent home with students on Friday. ANNUAL FOOTY DAY In preparation for the 2019 AFL Grand Final all EVPS staff and students are invited to pay a gold coin donation and wear their footy colours. All codes of footy colours and uniforms are acceptable. If your child doesn't follow any footy or soccer or rugby teams then I suggest they wear black and white! We would love to see every student and staff member coming dressed up on this day. NAPLAN REPORTS Our student Naplan Reports were sent home on Wednesday. YEAR TWO SLEEPOVER

The sleepover is an important part

and I know that the Year Two Team

have a very exciting night planned.

camp to Camp Oasis in Year Three.

Last week I congratulated Jia K of PJB, who was the

If you are yet to enrol your 2020 Prep child please

do so before the end of the term. We run tours on a

Tuesday at 9.30am if you know of anyone that lives

Please don’t forget to join us for a sausage sizzle and

games on Monday at 3.45 on the basketball court.

1:1 NETBOOK INFORMATION

The 2020 Year 3-4 Netbook Information was

released at the Year 2 meeting on Wednesday night

goals and we are excited that next

week the students’ goals will be shared with

parents via learning tasks in Compass. This is a great opportunity to engage their children to

EVPS FOOTY DAY 2019

The annual EVPS Footy Day will be held on Friday 20th September.

Please encourage your child to dress up in any AFL, Soccer, NRL or other football code jumpers supporting their team,

and bring a gold coin donation.

Optional activities will be running for

students during recess.

A Staff v Students football match will be played during

both lunchtimes.

Prep SR AND Prep RQ will be entertaining

us with a very special performance at next Monday’s assembly, from 9am.

Parents and caregivers are most welcome to attend.

SAVE THE DATE!

Year 6 Graduation will be held on Tuesday 17th

Supported Playgroups provide opportunities for eligible families to develop parenting skills and confidence to support their children’s development. Supported Playgroups are for families with children aged birth up until they start primary school. In-Home Support is provided to families who meet additional criteria. They are funded by DHHS for families experiencing disadvantage to improve the learning, development, and wellbeing outcomes of children from birth until they start primary school.

To be enrolled in a Supported Playgroup, families must meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria

a family member in the household holds a Health Care Card or equivalent families in which a family member identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families looking after children in kinship care arrangements (out of home care) families referred from Child FIRST/Child Protection. families referred from or participating in Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Services

Division Athletics

On the 10th of September, EVPS students had gone to the Woodlands and Whittlesea Division Athletics Carnival. We had 28 students represent our school and competed against many different schools in the Whittlesea and Woodlands

division.
