Parent ConnectionParent Connection continues TODAY, 9:30 a.m. in the Upper Fellowship Hall. We arecontinuing with a six-week video series, “It Starts At Home.” All adults who have children ofany age in their lives (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles) are encouraged to attend.

Young AdultsThe Young Adult group resumes this Tuesday, June 27 but will not meet on Tuesday, July 4 andresume their regular schedule on Tuesday, July 11. All young adults are invited to attend! Associate Pastor Call UpdateThe original list of candidates was narrowed down to 5. After speaking to those 5candidates, they either felt called to remain in their current ministry positions or hadaccepted a call elsewhere during the process. Pastor Ryan has asked the CallCommittee to spend a week in prayer regarding the next steps for calling our nextassociate pastor. We will be seeking God’s wisdom on what we have learned from Himthrough the process so far and if there are any necessary changes to the role orcandidate description. Please pray with the committee as they seek God’s wisdom andguidance and continue in the call process.

BSLC FoundationEach quarter, the Beautiful Savior Foundation evaluates requests for distributions fromour investment earnings to be used for mission related projects. The next Foundationmeeting will be held on Thursday, August 3. For a distribution request to be consideredat that meeting, please return a completed request form to Scott Wollberg or TedDlouhy, Foundation president, no later than Sunday July 23. L.I.F.T.The July event is attending a musical comedy at the Jewish Community Theater (333 S 132nd Street). Thecomedy is based on the first book in a series by Joy Johnson. LWML MitesBased on the Biblical account of the widow’s mite (Luke 21:1-4), the mite box is intended forregular contributions of “mites”-offerings above and beyond the support given to congregationsand the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Mite box contributions amount to millions of dollarsthat fund district and national mission grants & implement the Lutheran Women’s MissionaryLeague Program.
