Bob’s Thoughts…

Healing For Humanity

At the beginning of Jesus’ ministry, He went into the synagogue and read publically from Isaiah 61:1-2. “The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and the recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. …this day is this scrip-ture fulfilled in your ears,” Luke 4:18-19.

We live in a hard cruel world. Pain and suffering are everywhere. We’ve all, without exception, been scarred and marred by the ravages of sin. People often wonder why God doesn’t do something about this. Well, He did! According to Luke 4, God provided a deliverer for us in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God’s promised Messiah - the anointed one, the Savior of the world. He was sent by God to destroy the works of the devil. Satan, as the god of this world, is the source of all evil. His agenda is to steal, kill, and de-stroy. Jesus is the Great Physician! He has come to heal us of the destructive effects of Satan!

The acceptable year of the Lord has come! “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). He redeemed us so that we could be made whole. God’s time for you is now! Jesus Christ, the greatest physician of all, is here today to make you whole. He wants to heal your broken heart, bind up your wounded spirit, and restore your soul. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever!

Have a Great Week!

Bob
