Engineering Controls Specialist

Description The individual will be required to design Industrial Control Panels for use with TPI Corporation’s products. This will include circuit design, load calculation, component specification, wire sizing and panel sizing. Panels are custom designed according to customer requirements and TPI guidelines. This job will also require panel design and programming of PLC’s used with Process Heat Equipment. Generate wiring schematics for production using AutoCad Mechanical or AutoCad Electrical. In addition, the individual will work with engineering personnel on other testing and development projects.

Requirements Have a background in electrical or electronic circuitry. Have basic knowledge of electrical circuits both single phase and three phase. Be familiar with control components such as wiring, relays, contactors, over-current protection, transformers and PLC’s, preferably Allen Bradley. Be computer literate with an emphasis on Autocad Electrical or Mechanical.

This includes patient work-up, pretesting, documentation (both on paper and electronic), and other responsibilities mentioned below. Job Responsibilities:

Assist with tutorial service requests and keep accurate records of VR sponsored students

Maintain and order necessary office supplies and coordinate TAF money for assistive technology needs
