Vice President (Lt Gen)Ali Mohssen Saleh met Sunday with General Chief of Staff (Lt Gen) Abbullah Anakha’i.

The meeting devoted to discuss the ongoing combat operations against Iran-backed Houthi putschist militia, military situation and action-plans to activate the military institution.

(Lt Gen) Mohssen stated that the patriotic battle has been fought by the Yemeni people alongside the armed forces backed by Sauid-led Arab

Coalition is struggle for a safe and secure and free- militias, violence and terrorism country free that all Yemeni people are looking forward to achieve.

The Vice President highly appreciated unflinching support provided by Saudi-led Coalition support to the Yemenis’ cause and battle they have been fighting to defend their identity against the Iran-backed Imamate militias.

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi—Commander-in-Chief applauded heroic battles have been fought by national military alongside the Yemeni people, highly appreciating great sacrifices they are extending in the west coast, where they are battling—backed by Saudi-led Arab Coalition—Iran-backed Imamate Houthi militiamen.

In a phone call, the President conducted Tuesday to Governor of Hodeidah Dr Al-Hassan Taher, he stated that Hodeidah populations’ ordeal will

come to its end by driving the putschist militias out of the province.

The President deeply appreciated sincere substantial support provided by Saudi-led Coalition, largely backed by United Arab Emirates to support the government’s troops in the fateful battle against the putschist militias.

The governor briefed the President on the latest developments about the ongoing military operations in the province.

Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh met Tuesday with American Ambassador to our country Mathew Tuller.Latest developments in national scene and Yemeni-American bilateral relations were discussed.The Vice President appreciated American stance in supporting legitimate government and the Yemeni people. He reiterated legitimate leadership’s stance—led by President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi—about sustainable peace that is based on the three well known terms of reference.The Vice President congratulated the American Administration on the successful midterm elections. He also voiced the Yemeni government’s support for sanctions imposed on Iran as that

is useful to limit its intervention in the Yemeni internal affairs and the region’s and its support for militant groups and its role in undermining political process in Yemen.(Lt Gen) Mohssen stated that International Community and international partners, above all American friends have a duty to do to enforce International Security Council resolution 2216.” This is key element not only to achieve peace in Yemen, but in entire region”, Mohssen said.He indicated that the putschist Houthis have continued to be intransigent, refusing to come to peace. Assa’di reports to VP about his trip abroad to

mobilize supportMinister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr Mohammed Assa’di detailed Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh about the outcomes of his official visits abroad to several countries aimed to mobilize regional and international support to development’s projects and humanitarian efforts.

As he met (Lt Gen) Mohssen Sunday, Assa’di also cited the efforts made by Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to secure cooperation and economic support the government needs to manage

the economic hardship.

The Vice President urged extensive communications and coordination with sisterly and friendly countries, regional and international economic groupings and organizations.

(Lt Gen) Mohssen expressed thanks and appreciation for the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other brothers and friends for their support for the Yemeni legitimate government in different fields of economy, politics and military.

In its regular meeting headed by Prime Minister MaeenAbdulmalik in Aden on Wednesday,the Cabinet reviewed a number of developments and reports on its agenda related to issues and conditions at the political, military, service and development levels.

The Cabinet looked into the Immigration and Passport Authority’s request to print one million ordinary passports, 15,000 temporary travel documents and 300 thousand entry visas.

It approved the formation of a committee membered by the Ministry of Interior, the Immigration and Passports Authority and the Ministry of Finance to study the request and submit a comprehensivereport to the Cabinet, including financial and technical analysis of the printing, within one week of its date.

The Cabinet also listened to a report from the Minister of Transport on the preparation of Aden airport as per the international technical specifications and standards to

enable it provide its sovereign services for air navigation.

The Cabinet authorized the ministers of Finance and Transport to follow up on the adoption of the estimated budget of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, which was prepared in the light of the directives of the Prime Minister to ensure the continuity of the work of the Authority and keepthe airports operational in all the governorates.

Prime Minister Dr Ma’een Abdulmalik received Monday in the temporary capital Aden the delegation of the World Food Program (WFP).

The delegation arrived in Aden headed by the Executive Director of the WFP David Beasley, Deputy Director of Staff Reihan Zahed, Deputy Director Arif Hussein, Regional Director of the WFP Muhanad Hadi and senior speaker Abeer Atifah and Country Director of WFP Steven Anderson.

The Prime Minister expressed thanks for the WFP’s significant efforts to contribute to humanitarian

actions in our country, mainly to provide food aids to as many as 8 million people in need.

Ma’een stated that the government is going to remove all obstacles facing the international organizations and secure helpful environment for their activities.

For his part, Beasley briefed the Prime Minister on the WFP’s activities and its action-plans in the forthcoming period.

Prime Minister Dr Ma’een Abdulmalik issued Wednesday a decree about setting-up a high committee for state’s general budgets of 2019 fiscal year.

A decree by Prime Minister No. (165) of 2018 about

establishing high committee for state’s general budgets ( Macro-Economic Committee ) of 2019 fiscal year, tasked with developing the state’s general budget at central and local levels.

The decree sets out the committee’s tasks, mandates and guiding outlines need to be taken into account in formulating the state’s general budget of next fiscal year.

Prime Minister Dr Ma’een Abdulmalik has made clear that stiff measures to be taken to control corruption.” Rule of law will be enforced by law enforcement authorities everywhere, nobody will be exempted”, he said.

His statement came as he held

meeting Thursday in Aden included the leadership of the Central Organization for Auditing and Control (COCA).

Chairman of COCA judge Abu Baker Asqaf briefed the Prime Minister on measures have been taken to resume COCA’s actions and enforce its role in

the government-held provinces and regions.

Dr Ma’een stated that the government will provided COAC with necessary resources to enable it doing its job effectively.

Govt quest for peace met

with Houthi stubbornness,

FM tells US ambassadorForeign Minister Khalid Alyemany said the government has reacted positively with the UN peace mediator’s efforts with a view to ending the humanitarian crisis in the country but the government’s quest for peace was met with stubbornness on the Houthi rebels’ side.

He told the US ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tueller, in a meeting in Riyadh on

Monday, that the international community has to further pressure the Houthi militia to accept peace and the requirements of peace.

He said that the army’s operation to retake the western city of Hodeidah from the Iran-backed rebels is making a steady progress with care being taken for civilian lives and infrastructure.

He said the government in the temporary capital Aden is currently working actively to improve the life of the people on all levels.

Tueller hailed the government’s quest for peace which was evident from the government’s show up in Geneva for the peace talks that were scheduled for September 6 but failed due to the Houthi no-show.

Deputy speaker of Yemen’s parliament Mohammed al-Shaddadi has said the parliament is set to convene in the temporary capital Aden soon.

In a meeting with the Lebanese ambassador to Yemen here on Tuesday, al-Shaddadi said the

MPs support a fair solution for the ongoing conflict as the government and the Yemeni people maintain; a solution based on the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue and the UNSC resolution 2216.

He said that the Yemeni people

are united behind the Arab Coalition’s campaign as they counter the Houthi militia’s coup and violence.

He said the Iran-backed militia is putting some fellow MPs under house arrest in the capital Sana’a.

Al-Yemany praises China’s support for

Yemeni government, people.

Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Yemany met Sunday with Ambassador of People’s Republic of China Kang Yong.

Discussions focused on Yemeni-Chinese bilateral ties and cooperation. Situations in our country were also touched upon.

Al-Yemany hailed robust

Yemeni-Chinese relationship describing it as historic and typical example of constructive and fruitful relation that contributed to serve mutual interests of the two friendly countries.

The Minister also voiced deep appreciation for Chinese supportive stance in supporting legitimate government and

Yemeni people.

The Chinese Ambassador stated that his country is very interested in further boosting bilateral ties with Yemen, reiterating China’s support for the Yemeni government and efforts to reach political solution to the ongoing conflict.

Yemen, UAE discuss peace

Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Yemany and UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nehyan discussed on Thursday efforts of regaining the state of Yemen and ending Houthi coup.

The two parties also discussed efforts exerted by the UN envoy to Yemen for reaching political solution ensuring handover of weapons by Houthis and withdrawal from cities and state’s institutions.

The UAE foreign minister

showed readiness of providing more support to the government of Yemen via the program of improving the government’s performance.

The meeting dealt with facilitating measures of granting visas to Yemeni citizens.

The Minister of Local Administration, the chief of the Higher Committee for Relief Aid, Abdurraqeeb Fatah discussed today with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) in the temporary capital Aden the activities of ERC in

Yemen and the humanitarian aid projects that will be jointly implemented during the coming period in a number of provinces.

He discussed with the ERC’s representatives expandingthe ERC activities to all the

provinces especially Yemen’s western coastline areas and al-Mahra province.

The two sidesagreed to form a joint committeeto coordinate field work and study the various relief projects, which will be implemented in the future.

Fatah, ERC representatives discuss relief aid projects

Minister of Fisheries Fahd Kafayensaid that there aresome Iranian vessels harassing Yemeni fishermen and threatening them in Yemen’s territorial waters, including the waters of the Red Sea.

In a ceremony to provide 100 fishing boats to fishermen in theeastern province of Shabwah, Kafayencalled on the international community to “shoulder their responsibilities in stopping Iran’s aggressive trespasses and interferences

in the Yemeni affairs through supporting the Houthi militia.”

He also said the Iran-backed Houthis are exercising abuses against fishermen in their areas of control, abducting and disappearing them forcibly.

Yemen and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement to provide four cranes to the Yemeni seaports of Mokha, Aden and Mukalla.

The agreement was signed by Yemen’s

Planning and Int’l Cooperation Minister Mohammed al-Saadi and Deputy Director of the Saudi Fund for Development Khaledal-Kuhdheiri.

GCC’s Relief and Humanitarian Aids Coordination Office held its 27th session Thursday in KSrelief Center HQ in Riyadh.

The meeting devoted to discuss the humanitarian situations in Yemen and relief and humanitarian actions.

Deputy Minister of Local Administration—Deputy Chairman of Supreme Relief

Committee—Abdulsalam Ba-Abood presented a detailed report about the humanitarian situation in Yemen.

He commenced with the situations in Al-Maharhah province which has suffered huge damages as a result of the Luban tropical storm. He noted that primary estimation of the damages put the total amount of loses at $650 million.

Ba-Abood expressed appreciation for the GCC’s member states’ contribution to the relief and humanitarian operations in Al-Maharah and elsewhere throughout Yemeni provinces.

Discussions touched upon what has already been provided of humanitarian assistance and the future’s plans and projects to be carried out.
