THANK YOU VERY MUCH
-Thank you one and all for your generous and loving
work on the Annual Food Fair project. I cannot thank
enough all the leaders and workers who keep showing
up on each of these preparation days leading up to the
Food Fair just 3 weeks away. Lots of serious shopping,
cooking, baking, packaging and cleaning is going on.
Again I say thank you to everyone. May God bless all
our good works.
-A thank you goes out to the 4th
of July Parade team. A
joy filled thanks to the creators of the super attractive
props which got lots of attention from the start to the
finish of the Parade. I thank all the youth volunteers for
walking the Parade and giving out our fliers and candy
to the spectators. Again I pray our efforts will bring a
good success to our key fund raiser.
-A most generous thanks goes out to our Youth
Director and the Men’s Club funds for making it
possible for our youth to attend this last week’s retreat
in Pennsylvania with Father Gary George. Pastor’s
Prayer, may all our youth learn a lot, pray well, and
come back filled with enthusiasm to be more and more
involved in our Parish life. God bless all our youth,
their parents, our Director and everyone else.

A SPECIAL APPEAL LETTER IS ON ITS WAY
Each year a special appeal goes
out to all the parish asking for your support
towards the ANNUAL FOOD FAIR. Your
generous response is so important and is
greatly helpful to the success of this event.

mail or deposit your contribution in the
basket at the Divine Liturgy along with your

Touch a life…Become a hospice Volunteer
Hospice is a philosophy of care, not a place. We care
for our patients wherever they call home. As a vital
part of our team volunteers come from all walks of life,
and have a variety of skills, talents and abilities.
Opportunities to serve are diverse: visit patients and
families to provide companionship, socialization, and
comfort, help with legacy work, transportation, light
housework, meal preparation, run errands, make phone
calls, help with clerical work, attend health fairs, make
a presentation. Volunteers with specialized
professional qualifications and training are also
needed: attorneys, notaries, licensed hair dressers,
Massotherapists, pet therapy dogs and their handlers.
The next series of volunteer classes will be held at the
New Horizons Church, 290 Darrow Rd, Akron, OH
44305 on Saturdays, August 22 and 29 from 8:30am –
4:30pm. Teen and volunteers not having patient
contact attend only the first four hours on August 22
class while most other volunteers attend all classes.
Pre-Registration is required. For more information or
to register, call 880-707-8922 ext. 6881

A REPORT ON PARISH REPAIRS -2 PROJECTS COMPLETED
1. We had to replace the air conditioner & heater unit in the cry room. The expense for this
project came to $5,186.71.
2. Part II, sealing the parking lot. Last year we had to re do the entire lot and at that time the
recommendation by the company was to wait 1 year to do the needed repairs and sealing. This
was helpful by the fact that last winter was very rough on the lot.
Both projects were covered from the Building Fund Account. In these past 3 years we did much in
improvements and repairs thanks to your great generosity. Please know that we still have a few
more essential projects to complete. May I please ask everyone to participate and help out the best
you can. Thank you all very much.
