IntroductionIncludes Clyde Wardell Fracking in the U.SThe Purpose was to give an overview of how the use of Hydraulic wells pave the way for American independence from overseas gas and oil.

Format of Paper

No not all sections were included it was missing an abstract and introduction. Yes, all information was clearly distinguished from one another with a good use of Table of contents and marking new areas.

Historical Timeline and Predecessor Assessment EvaluationAssess the following three components as detailed on the Student Evaluation FormGreat use of sources Flowed easily and a great informative read. Needs work on the use of abstract and introduction but over all great, clear, concise writing skills.

Analysis of Impact EvaluationAssess the following three components as detailed on the Student Evaluation FormSources clearly given and important to the research part of writing, however sources were not used on the images and I had a hard time finding them to cite them properly. Content clear and concise gives a great overview of what fracking is and how it is important to the U.S. Minor issues with indents, over all clear, concise and it flows really well. Ethical Considerations EvaluationAssess the following three components as detailed on the Student Evaluation FormSources were present and consistent in the writing, however sources were missing from the image used. Content flowed was concise and well written. Few issues with indentation, but over all great use of writing in an informative piece.

(Potter & Dr. Rashid, 2013)Recommended Regulations by Potter and RashidSet a minimum distance between hydraulic fracturing activity and public water suppliesDemand full disclosure of fracturing fluid chemicals before drilling permits are issuedSpecify retention and collection systems that can collect and hold all fracking fluid used on site to prevent spillsSpecify comprehensive periodic water testing in areas near drill sitesCreate remediation fund in which all drilling companies must contribute to cover accidents resulting from hydraulic fracturingOutsource water used in drilling, possibly using recycled waterFund research into environmentally compatible chemicals to use in the fracking processSpecify the plan for treatment and disposal of all fracking fluids and materials

Concluding RemarksThere are some minor issues with indenting at the beginning of another area discussed. Minor Issues with citing image sourcesGreat use of timelineGreat flow throughout paperProper resources usedLoved his division of ethical issues Overall a great well written piece that was a very informative read. I learned about a new technology I was not familiar with. Great Job Clyde!By: Annette Wiseman
