Hello, Girls and Boys!It is our last week of school. We are so

sad about having to say,”good-bye.” In honor of this week, we wanted to

make it a STEAM WEEK: S-Science, T-Technology, E-Engineering, A-Art, and

M-Mathematics. There are only 4 school days left, but

we included 5 days worth of fun! Feel free to do some or ALL.

It is up to you! Please document what you did with

your teacher!

Science Project Day! Today you will learn about making a

hypothesis (good guess) and use the Scientific Method in your own Sink or

Float Cookie experiment! Follow the numbered steps.

Question: Do Cookies Float or Sink in Milk?

Follow these Steps

1. Watch the video-song, click here.2. Read the book, Does it Sink or Float? You can listen to it, here.3. Form your Hypothesis (make your guess)4. Make your observation (experiment) dunk the cookies in the milk.5. Fill in the chart-The Great Cookie Dunk.6. Write/video a short conclusion of your finding.

Now that we are at the end of the school year, think back to your favorite part of 2nd grade. Share with us what you liked the most and why. It can be while we were at school, or it can be something from learning while at home. Record a video of yourself telling us about your favorite part of 2nd grade and send it to your teacher on ClassDojo!
