Miami Dolphins @ Cincinnati BengalsDan Carpenter kicked another five FGs for yet another
road win for the Dolphins. The Bengals offense startedstrong, but died after halftime, failing to convert even oncein the 3rd QTR, A Bengals interception set Henne and theDolphins up for a 96 yard drive featuring Brandon Marshalland Brian Hartline and ended with a 1 yd TD run by RickyWilliams.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Dallas CowboysThe Cowboys started the game well, finishing their firstoffensive drive with a FG. But thats where the good part
ends. Jacksonville scored 4 times before they would scoreagain, David Garrard was 17/21 for 260 yards and 4 TDpasses, as well as a 2yd run into the endzone, with a nearperfect 157.8 rating. Dallas would score two TDs in the4th, but not nearly enough to overcome the Jags.
Washington Redskins @ Detroit Lions
Matt Stafford returns as QB for the Lions and pays off bigtime, throwing four TDs, 3 of them to Calvin Johnson. Red-skins were problematic, penalties and mistakes added upin the loss on the road, and the Redskins scored twice andkicked a FG times in the last four minutes of the game, oneof the TDs being a fumble return. WASH QB McNabb wasbenched in the last QTR.
Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs
Bills lose their second game in overtime, and are stillwinless. What would have been a winning kick was icedby the Chiefs, and a second attempt for BUF kicker Lin-dell hit the uprights, allowing KC to kick their FG on thevery last second of the OT period.
Carolina Panthers @ St. Louis RamsSam Bradford and the Rams capitalize on a handful of turn-overs from the Panthers, who are still plagued by QB prob-lems, and are likely to start Moore again next week. ThePanthers were down by a TD with a chance to even it up at
the second, and turned the ball over to end the half. An-other TD and a FG by the Rams in the 4th outscored a sin-gle TD by the Panthers and clinched the game for theRams.
Green Bay Packers @ New York JetsJets are shut out at home by the Packers due to severalquestionable calls and mistakes by QB Mark Sanchez.High winds did nothing to help the situation causing amissed FG for both teams and making pass completion
difficult.
Denver Broncos @ San Francisco 49rs
49rs win their second game at home in London England.
The Niners only scored a single FG until the 4th QTRwhere they stunned the struggling Broncos with a TD fromAlex Smiths replacement, Troy Smith, a 28 yd TD pass from
Smith to Michael Crabtree, and a 3yd rush to the endzoneby Frank Gore. DEN QB Kyle Orton had two interceptions
Tennessee Titans @ San Diego ChargersAfter a weak start, especially with their Special Teams, the Chargers surprise the Titans by scoring 17 points af-ter the 2 minute warning of the 2nd half. Vince Young wasinjured with 6 minutes or so left to go in the last QTR.Philip Rivers was 27 of 36 for 305 yds, 2 TDs and an INT.
Seattle Seahawks @ Oakland RaidersThe Raiders defense and special teams combined to crushthe Seattle Seahawks in their first back to back win in along time. Jason Campbell threw remarkably well for 310yds and 2 TDs and Sebastian Janikowski kicked four FGswhile the defense held off Matt Hasselbeck and the Sea-hawks to a total of just 162 yds, and allowing them to con-vert only once in 16 attempts.
Minnesota Vikings @ New England PatriotsBrett Favre, plagued by two fractures in his ankle, threw22/32 for 259 yds and 1 INT but did not score against theunusually mobile Tom Brady and the Patriots. Favre leftthe game in the 4th and backup Tarvaris Jackson scored aTD on his first play on the field, bringing the Vikingswithin a TD of winning, but a 2nd TD run by Patriot Ben-Jarvus Green-Ellis in the final two minutes held off the Vi-kings.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Arizona Cardinals
A 5th straight win on the road brings the Bucs to a surpris-ing 5-2 record, after holding of the Cardinals in AZ. Twocritical interceptions by Aqib Talib in the 4th QTR broughtthe Bucs to a victory in their usual better late than neverstyle. Cardinals were hampered by INTs by rookie QB MaxHall and he was replaced by Anderson in the 1st QTR.Anderson threw 16/24 for 234 and a TD, with 2 INT.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New Orleans Saints
A loud and proud Saints crowd, a serious defensive strat-egy by the Saints and accuracy by Drew Bress all com-bined to bring the defending champs a win after theirembarrassing loss to the Browns last week. PITs QB BenRothlisberger was 17/28 with NO TDs, and an INT to marhis 195 yd game. Saints Kicker Garrett Hartley kicked twoFGs.
