Childrenrsquos Day mufti day raised $20570 towards the playground Thank you all for your donations

The 2018 Home Learning Challenges will be coming home on 21st March Week 8 The Challenge programmes are optional for students and the activities are level based The challenges come under key areas Special Catholic Character Service in School Community Physical Activities Academic Excellence and the Arts This year we introduce the Year 7amp8 Rosary Challenge Award The programme aligns with the original Year 7amp8 Home Learning Challenges with a focus on strengthening our OLR leaders in the Intermediate Hub

This week is SEAWEEK 3-11th March Seaweek ndash Kaupapa Moana 2018 This yearrsquos theme is ldquoToiora te Moana ndash Toiora te Tangata ndash Healthy Seas Healthy Peoplerdquo The junior classes came back full of talk about their recent visit to the sea and the Middle Syndicate classes are exploring the sea this coming Monday Have a look at the national Seaweek site httpseaweekorgnz

ICAS 2018 - This year the University of New South Wales is offering your child an opportunity to participate in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) ICAS is an annual skills development assessment program in key areas of learning for students in Years 3-13 assessments are available in English Mathematics Spelling and Science For further information about the ICAS assessment go to wwweaaunsweduau

Assessments cost $950 each for English Mathematics and Science and Spelling cost $1150 If you would like your child to participate in an ICAS assessment this year please keep an eye on your email account for the Signmee Form that will be sent out early next week
