11 Wednesday October 31, 2018 STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Jammu Fashion Week opened curtains for upcoming fashion week that is scheduled to be held from November 30, 2018. The entire event took place in the presence of of Vanita Thakur, Chairperson NIFD (Director Fashion), Shivani Gupta, Chairperson Shalz Medispa (Director Image Makeover), Pallab Bose CEO and Show Director, Aprajita Sharma Personality Coach and a Supermodel and Sidharth Director Communications. The day was reckoned with the auditioning of the budding models of the State J&K from whom the select- ed ones will walk the ramp. Pallab Bose, an International Model Trainer auditioned the aspiring models and gave the guidelines on which they have to walk with the super models at the Jammu Fashion Week. The first half of the day was dedicat- ed for auditioning and men- toring of adult models who ran in the age group of 18 to 26 years. Bose interacted with the models and gave them bene- ficial tips. Aprajita Sharma, who is a Miss India finalist, gave them friendly piece of advice with which the mod- els can brush up their outer presentation and make themselves fit to walk the ramp. The second half was entirely given to audition of little kids that fall in the age group of 3 to 12 years, who were accompanied by their mothers. A friendly and a warm counselling were done with them where the jury members cherished interacting with the kids. In addition to this, their mothers were also audi- tioned that gave a magni- fied exposure to them. The day concluded with an ignited curiosity in the candidates. Sunil Kumar Sawhney, Assistant Governor Rotary International District 3070, was the Project Director of the Camp. Dr Varinder Singh, Senior Dental Consultant ASCOMS and Hospital Sidhra Jammu examined more than 180 students of the school. Dental kits were distributed among all the students free of cost. STATE TIMES NEWS SRINAGAR: The training programme for Medical Coordinators and Arogya Mitras under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) has been started on Tuesday at Polytechnic College Srinagar and Jammu. The training programme is being held for all the districts of the State from 30th October to 2nd November 2018. The participants shall be trained in two modules con- sisting of Beneficiary Identification System (BIS) and Transaction Management System (TMS) that shall enable the participants to identify the beneficiaries at the hospital level and generation of golden record cards and ver- ification of the packages by Medical Coordinators booked for the patients and thereof give the pre-authorisation by the insurance company. The training shall be moni- tored by Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education Department Atal Dulloo, and is being conducted by State Health Agency AB-PMJAY under the supervision of Bhupinder Kumar, Chief Executive Officer for Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in the State. Training for medical coordinators, Arogya Mitras under AB-PMJAY begins STATE TIMES NEWS SRINAGAR: Every possible step should be taken to strengthen the security grid in Kashmir, adviser to the governor, K Vijay Kumar, said on Tuesday during a review meeting with police officials here. Kumar visited the police headquarters in Srinagar and chaired a meeting to review the overall security scenario in the Kashmir divi- sion, an official spokesman said. DGP Dilbag Singh and senior police officers briefed the adviser on the security scenario and other issues related to it, he said. During the meeting, Kumar conducted a comprehensive review and also discussed various measures undertak- en to further enhance the security in the Kashmir Valley, the spokesman said. There is always a scope for improvement and every pos- sible step in this regard must be taken to strengthen the security grid in the state, the adviser to the Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Kumar, said. The meeting was attended by the DGP, ADGP Law, Order and Security Muneer Ahmed Khan, IGP Kashmir S P Pani and range DIGs of the Kashmir Zone among others. The DIGs of the CRPF and the SSB, and commandants of the IRP, the CRPF and the SSB were also present at the meet, the spokesman said. The measures put in place by the various security agencies to check activities of unlawful elements were also discussed in the meeting, he said. The spokesman said Kumar stressed upon enhancing coordination among the security agencies to maintain vigil against inimical forces and to main- tain peace in the state. STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Principal Secretary Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, Rohit Kansal on Tuesday inspected the pace of progress on Jammu Ring Road here after charring a meeting of the officers of dis- trict administration, National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and repre- sentatives of executing agen- cies. The 58.25 km, 4-lane Jammu Ring Road, being built at a cost of Rs 2023.87 crore, will link Jagati (western Jammu) to Raya Morh. There will be eight large bridges, six fly- overs, two tunnels and four viaducts on this route, the NHAI authorities informed the meeting. Accompanied by District Development Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar inspected the ongoing works at Sarore, Bishnah and Nagrota areas. Earlier, during the meeting Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Kumar highlighted the progress achieved and vari- ous bottlenecks facing the project. He said that 50 vil- lages are coming under the alignment of Ring Road and 90 % of land acquisi- tion process has been com- pleted. It was also informed in the meeting that work is under process on 28 Km road out of 58 KM and 20% of road work will be completed and opened to traffic by March 31, 2019. Principal Secretary expressed satisfaction on the progress achieved in the land acquisitions for the Project as most of the land acquisition proceedings are at its final stages and land is being handed over to the NHAI. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure timely disbursement of pending compensation amount on account of land acquisition to the owners. He passed necessary instructions on this regard to SDM (South). Kansal directed the Project Director, NHAI for maintaining close coordina- tion with line departments including PHE, PDD, PWD(R&B), Irrigation and Flood Control for smooth construction of Ring Road. Principal Secretaryexpressed satisfaction onthe progress achieved in theland acquisitions for theProject as most of the landacquisition proceedings areat its final stages and landis being handed over to theNHAI.

He directed the concernedauthorities to ensure timelydisbursement of pendingcompensation amount onaccount of land acquisitionto the owners. He passednecessary instructions on

Addressing the Advocates,Malik said that Legal educa-tion does not stop when youare admitted.

"Law is a profession thatdemands constant learning.New laws are being passedwith regularity which was notthe case before. Your successin the profession is going todepend to a large extent onwhat you are going to learnthrough practice, researchand interaction with col-

leagues and Judges ratherthan on what you alreadyknow," he told the gathering.

He stressed upon the newlyenrolled Advocates that char-acter is vital in all professionsand walks of life, and in the

legal profession particularly,the maintenance of the hon-esty of the lawyer is a matterof the first importance.

"The most worthy and effec-tive advertisement possible fora young lawyer, especially withhis brother lawyers, is theestablishment of a well-merit-ed reputation for professionalcapacity and fidelity to trust.The term ethics is something,which all of us inherently pos-sess," he said.

"What standard of profes-sional ethics are applicable tomembers of the legal profes-sion, we call that Legal Ethics.In your dealings in and out-side court, you should alwaysbear in mind that every mem-ber of the Bar is a trustee forthe honour and prestige of theprofession as a whole," headded.

Chairing a meeting here today, the DivCom asked the district administration toimplement the directions of High Courtissued in this regard in a PIL.

ADCs of Jammu and Samba informed thatthey have identified JDA lands in differentareas of their jurisdiction and the process ofdemarcation of the land is in process. TheDiv Com asked the ADCs to demarcate theland and hand over it to JDA.
