Mrs. Hammond,widow of the late PaulRobert Hammond diedSaturday, May 9, ather home. Born inKershaw, she was adaughter of the lateBoyd Howard andAnnie Loutee CrowWest. She was a faith-ful member of CenterGrove Baptist Churchand a homemaker.
Surviving are threechildren; Robert LarryHammond and hiswife Rebekah, LindaHammond Taylor andher husband Jeff andTerry Sherwood Ham-mond and his wifeSharon all of Kershaw;five grandchildren,Meg Wrenn and herhusband Will, LizJoyner and her hus-band Rusty, Grey Tay-lor and his wifeSharon, Allana Phillips
and her husbandRoddy all of Kershawand Stella Hammondof Columbia; ten greatgrandchildren, Talf,Caroline and Ham-mond Wrenn, Victoria,Coleman and WestonJoyner, Audrey andMegan Taylor andLuke and LydiaPhillips; two sisters,Betty West Mahaffey ofKershaw, Mary AnnByrd of Lancaster anda sister-in-law, Carol BWest of Liberty Hill. Inaddition to her parentsand her husband, shewas preceded in deathby a granddaughter,Audrey Lane Taylor; agreat grandson, Con-ner Ceph Phillips, anda brother, Paul H.West.

Alice died Saturday,May 9, 2015, in WayneT. Patrick HospiceHouse, Rock Hill. Bornin Lancaster, she wasa daughter of the lateWillie and BettyMcCowan Stone. She
had retired from thetextile industry.
Surviving are threedaughters, WendyPhillips and her hus-band Keith of Ker-shaw, Kim Twitty andher husband Dwayneof Kershaw, AprilHolder and her hus-band Kevin of Lancast-er; six grandchildren,Joshua Phillips, Timo-thy Phillips, DevinTwitty, Amber Twitty,Alissa Holder andAaron Holder; a sister,Peggy Payne of Ker-shaw and two specialnephews, Jonathanand Jason Payne.
The family is at thehome of Peggy Payne,255 Harold Faulken-berry Rd., Kershaw.

KERSHAW – Thefamily held a memorialservice celebrating thelife of Vivian Ellis Cau-then, 71 of Kershaw,Friday, May 8, 2015,at 1 p.m., in KershawChurch of God. TheRevs. John Wilkes andQuitman Hand officiat-ed. The familyreceived friends in thechurch Family LifeCenter one hour priorto the service begin-ning at 12 p.m. noon.
Mrs. Cauthen diedat her home onWednesday, May 6.Born in Kershaw, shewas the daughter ofthe late Andrew Jack-son and Lela PhillipsEllis. Mrs. Cauthenhad retired from
Springs Memorial Hos-pital and was a mem-ber of KershawChurch of God. Sheloved her dogs andfishing.
Surviving are herhusband, James“Jimmy” Cauthen; ason, John “Timmy”Stroud (Tammy) ofLancaster; two daugh-ters, Andrea Bass(Bobby) and KarenBaker (Mitchell) bothof Kershaw; grandchil-
dren, Drew Stroud(Jill), Tyler Stroud,Brittany Bass, Ben-jamin Bass, JasonBaker (Amanda),Kasey Eddings (Josh),and Kristy Baker; foursisters, Iva Mae Bow-ers, Ruth Williams,Bonnie Snipes, andDianne Sims all ofKershaw. She waspredeceased by a greatgrandson, Austin ColeBaker, sisters, LibWaites, Vera Lee Lang-
ley, and Margie Cony-ers, brothers, L. J.Ellis and Gene Ellis.
