A-Ga-Ming’s highest bluff, providing the Resort’s most breathtaking views. The Receptions Pavilion is equipped with adjustable and removable

windowed walls that allow your festivity to become as intimate with the natural environment as you wish, while still affording a sophisticated setting. We offer exceptional cuisine and a variety of dining options

provided by our featured list of superb local chefs and caterers. You may contract a caterer from our list or another of your choice.

The “Torch” Clubhouse deck is ideal for Rehearsal Dinners, Showers and Farewell Brunches. Sip wine, A “Torch Cocktail,” or your favorite brew. Our lodging accommodations are comfortable, convenient, and within

Torch Lake

The name of the lake is not due to its shape, rather, is derived from translation from the Ojibwa name; Was-wa-gon-ong,

meaning “Place of the Torches”, referring to the practice of the local native American population who once used torches at night

to attract fish for harvesting with spears and nets. For a time it was referred to by local European settlers as “Torch Light Lake”, which eventually was shortened to its current name. Torch Lake is noted for its exceptional beauty; its waters are unusually clear

and exhibit a bright turquoise blue. This quality has made the lake a popular spot for the development of resorts and second

homes.

Venue Fee: Ceremony and Reception

o Ceremony is included in the pricing. Ceremony may be held off-site. No discounts will be given for opting to hold your ceremony elsewhere.

Up to 150 guests - $3,500.00 Over 151 guest - $4,000.00 $1,000 deposit is due at the time of reservation to hold the date set forth

o Deposits and will be applied towards the final invoice. o Notice of cancelations must be received by A-Ga-Ming, in writing, no later than six (6)

months prior to the reservation date in order to receive an 80% refund of your deposit. Failure to comply will result in loss of deposit.

Full payment is due a minimum of 24 hours before the start of the event

Included with your Ceremony: Ceremony site on the green with a panoramic view of Torch Lake Venue Coordinator A-Ga-Ming Event Staff Padded white wooden chairs Cedar wedding arbor Set-up, tear down, & cleaning

(In case of inclement weather, ceremony is set up under the “Century” style tent with

windows, also offering a fabulous view of the lake.)

coordinator) plus access to tent at 7:00 am the day of the wedding 50% discount on lodging for the bride and groom on the night of the wedding

Bar

Bar: Bar Types:

o Open Bar: $25 per guest (age 21 and over) $10 per guest (age 21 and under) plus 18% service gratuity open bar total. This fee includes draft beer, wine, liquor, soft drinks and bartending service for 6 ½ hours.

o Beer and Wine only Bar: $20 per guest (age 21 and over) $10 per guest (age 21 and under) plus 18% service gratuity on bar total. This fee includes draft beer, wine, soft drinks and bartending service for 6 ½ hours.

o Cash Bar: Service charge of $18/hour, per bartender. The 18% service gratuity will not be added to the Cash bar. Event guests, at will, may provide tips. 6 ½ hour service.

Bar Set-up:

o Two bartenders and two additional helpers employed by A-Ga-Ming will service all bars.

o We will have everything set up at least one hour before your guests are expected to arrive.

o Draft beer & liquor are served in clear plastic cups. o Wine and champagne are served in stemmed wine glasses and champagne flutes.

Bar Contents:

o Draft Beer: Bud Light, Labatt Blue, and Oberon (select 2 of the 3 options).

Typically, one keg serves 50-100 people, 2 kegs serve 100-150 people, etc. For larger receptions or if you know your guests are predominantly beer drinkers please let us be aware of this when placing your bar order.

o Wine: Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. o Liquor: Gin, Vodka, Whiskey, Rum, Bourbon Whiskey, and Irish Cream. o Soft Drinks: Pepsi Products, Iced Tea, Lemonade, Juices, Club Soda and Tonic. o Champagne toast may be added for an additional fee of $2.50 per person.

We can special order your favorite local beer and wine as well as specialty liquor, at an

additional charge. Cash Bar Prices:

o Draft Beer: $3.50 per glass o Wine: $4.00 per glass o Liquor: $6.00 per glass o Soft Drinks: $1.50 per cup/glass

Pursuant to Michigan Law and the rules and regulations provided by the Michigan Liquor

control Commission (“MLCC”), all alcoholic beverages consumed on a premises licensed by the MLCC must be purchased from A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort. Consumption on the premises of any

alcoholic beverages not purchased from A-Ga-Ming is strictly prohibited.

Venue Coordinator Services: Assisting with all services pertaining to the venue; including but not limited to… o Vendor suggestions o Ordering of table linens (if needed) o Ordering of cocktail tables (if needed) o Specialty beer or wine requests o Rehearsal dinner requests o Supervision of set up and teardown of A-Ga-Ming and vendor equipment o Oversee wedding day timeline, if needed, to assure all transitions happen in a timely

matter

Additional Information: The wedding party is responsible for contracting all additional vendors needed; including

caterers, florists, bakers, wedding planners, decorators, photographers, etc. o We ask that your vendors abide by the rules and regulations set by the Resort. All of the

vendors we recommend have been approved by A-Ga-Ming and are familiar with our policies. o Your DJ MUST be selected from our recommend vendor list. THERE WILL BE A $250.00 FINE IF

YOU DO NOT CHOOSE ONE OF THE DJs FROM OUR LIST. Our preferred DJs are familiar with the County sound ordinance set for all events held at the Resort. In the event that all of our DJ’s are unavailable the date of your wedding, please contact your coordinator to discuss your options. Bands are not allowed. Event must end by 11:00 PM to allow for ample clean up time before the 12:00 AM County sound ordinance deadline.

It is the wedding party’s responsibility to set up and tear down decorations at the venue during the allocated times discussed with the venue coordinator.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved under the tent. A-Ga-Ming staff will be on hand to rearrange tables and chairs during this process. In the event of cold weather A-Ga-Ming will have patio heaters available at an additional cost of $50 per heater. If additional heaters are needed it is the wedding party’s responsibility to contact one of the rental companies on the vendor list provided. A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort does not provide fans on warmer days. It is the wedding party’s responsibility to contact one of the rental companies on the vendor list or provide fans of your own for that day.

We will only allow for one wedding reception to take place per weekend. Once your deposit is placed, you are guaranteed to have the only wedding reception at A-Ga-Ming that particular weekend. There may, however, be other golf related events during the same weekend.

Weddings may only be booked between Memorial Day weekend and the second weekend of September. This is to assure protection of the guests as well as vendor and resort equipment in cold and inclement weather, which typically take place outside of these weekends.
