My name is Jordan Pinder, and I am a wedding and commercial portrait photographer and videographer. My urge to constantly challenge myself creatively in wedding photography and videography has led me to a love for capturing weddings. My style is bold and modern, and I love to capture genuine, unposed expressions while highlighting the beautiful natural surroundings around us.

I approach every wedding with the goal to tell the story of your wedding today, and to create stunning, artistic portaits that you will be able to proudly display in your home. I have a very relaxed and patient nature when it comes to capturing weddings, so that you can enjoy every second of your wedding day knowing you’ll have wonderful memories to cherish afterwards.

With wedding photography and videography, quality is first and foremost, because there are no do-overs. Capturing the events of a wedding demands a high level of technical expertise with exposure, composition and lighting. Weddings are about being ready to capture the unexpected, something that demands a mastery of camera settings and years of experience with photographing weddings.

Style & Vision

Almost as important as quality and expertise is choosing an artist whose style resonates with you and the values you hold. I will take the time to listen to you, in order to plan on creating the style of images that you prefer. We will consider where you will display your images, from a wall art collage to a professionally designed wedding album, so that your photos will always be able to bring you back to your wedding day.

WHAT TO EXPECTa whole lot of fun and memories

Before your wedding

I work with you before your wedding to help tailor my wedding photography or videography style to your preferences. About a month before the wedding, I will email you a questionnaire to help me gain a better understanding of what you have planned for your wedding day. This will help us to establish a realistic wedding timeline. I will also ask you for a “shot list” of the family photos you wish to have taken, so that we don’t leave anyone out on your wedding day. We are confident that we can work with you and your family to create images that you will love.

At your wedding

I will take care of everything related to photos/videos, so that you won’t need to worry about a thing! I will typically show up while you are getting ready, and stay for the main events of your reception. I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise on your wedding day, and my relaxed nature and confidence in what I do will make sure you can just focus on enjoying your day.

After your wedding

I will be hard at work editing the images and enhancing your artistic portraits, or producing your video if you included one in your wedding collection. The day after your wedding I will treat you to a “sneak peek” of some of our favourites. No more than four weeks later, your wedding photos will be ready for you to view. You will be able to view your photos in an online gallery and will receive a keepsake USB. If you have opted to invest in a wall art display or professional wedding album, we will arrange for a print consultation so that you can see your edited photos up close, be able to see and feel the printed products that we offer, and design your artwork and album together.

ENGAGEMENTS

While photography on wedding days can be limited by time and weather, engagement sessions offer an opportunity to venture to a stunning location in ideal weather. My engagement sessions are often held near ocean sunsets, waterfalls, hiking trails, and hidden gems “off the beaten path”.

Why should we consider an engagement session?

1. You’ll get great images of you both.

With an engagement session, you’ll get beautiful images of you both together that you can use to announce your engagement on social media, and include on save-the-dates and invitations. If you print your images or create an album with them, they will be a family heirloom that you will treasure for years to come.

2. You will learn valuable posing tips that will stay with you for your lifetime.

Many couples have not been professionally photographed together prior to being engaged. During the engagement session, I will teach you the basics of how to pose naturally and feel at ease in front of the camera, so that you will be confident in how you look during the session, and anytime you are being photographed afterwards.

3. We will build a stronger relationship.

If you have already hired me to photograph your wedding, the engagement session will give us a chance to get to know each other better, so that I can understand your likes and dislikes in photography and your own unique dynamic. If there are any images that you specifically love or dislike, we can discuss these prior to your wedding day.

4. You’ll have better wedding photos.

Your knowledge in posing, the feedback we exchange about your engagement photos, and the relationship that we have built will all lead to better images on your wedding day. Being able to be photographed in a relaxed environment without the time constraints of your wedding day will give us lots of time to learn together how to create better portraits that you will love.

VIDEOGRAPHYRemember Your Wedding Day with a Feature Film

A wedding video is the perfect complement to your wedding album for telling the story of your wedding day. A wedding film memorializes elements of your wedding day that photography is unable to preserve. This includes the atmosphere while you were getting ready, your wedding vows during the ceremony, and speeches of loved ones at your reception.

Wedding videography includes a 1-2 hour feature film generally including your ceremony, reception speeches and first dance, as well as a 3-5 minute highlight video for sharing with friends and family.
