Beauvale Priory was founded in 1343, dedicated to the Carthusian order of monks. Monks lived a

strict, silent life here at Beauvale for nearly 200 years.

Beauvale Priory is perfect for a rustic and relaxed option for your wedding day. We are a family

business giving you the personal touch. We only hold up to a handful of weddings per year and we

encourage you to personalise your day to you.

The Old Guesthouse The old guesthouse, dated back to 1343, was originally used as the Monks guest’s house, when on the rare

occasion they would have visitors to stay. With one of the oldest and last remaining pieces of Carthusian

woodwork left in the country. Used for the guest’s entrance, extra seating and food room. Capacity 40 seating

for a small ceremony or 40 standing.

The Marquee Situated in the courtyard, the marquee connects the old guesthouse to The Shoot Room Bar, the courtyard and

beyond in to the beauvale rolling fields and Priory Ruins.

The Shoot Room Bar Seating capacity of 20 plus bar. The GinTin can also be set up as an optional extra bar for numbers over

100 with a minimum spend.

The Food Options include Free Range Hog Roast, apple sauce, stuffing, crackling and Sea Salt and Rosemary Roast Potatoes,

BBQ serving Hot dogs, Burgers and/or Chips, grazing tables (Fresh artisan bread, homemade tzatziki, humus,

freshly prepared cous cous and greek salad as below) where the menu can be completely tailored depending on

numbers and requirements. Pizza Parlour serving fresh homemade artisan pizza. Dessert options include

homemade cakes as serving in the tearooms such as carrot, salted caramel, chocolate and banana or Victoria

sponge, homemade scones with jam and cream or crêpes.

The Priory Ruins and grounds Feel free to roam around the grounds and say hello to the sheep, chickens and if you’re lucky the resident

peacock- Percy.

The Holiday Cottages There are two traditional cottages situated within the grounds of the historic Priory. Each two-bed cottage has

been newly built to the design of the 17th century farmhouse.

“My husband and I had some of our early dates at the priory so when we saw it was available for weddings we couldn’t resist, and we were not disappointed!

The venue itself for those who haven’t been is a collection of character buildings in a beautiful

country setting. For our day, we were given full control over the decorating and our guests were amazed by the venue and its surroundings. It gave us ample choice for photo locations

especially with the old Monastery.

Troy and Lauren were very helpful and flexible with our requests; decorating or food choices with vegan, vege & fussy eaters etc they were always happy to help. We had two amazing

spreads of home made cakes, sandwiches and scones which were followed later by a hot food buffet of lasagnes, pizzas, salads and more and we couldn’t have been happier with not only the amount of food (even our biggest eaters were full) but also the quality of the food and its

presentation which were superb.

The whole reception at the priory went without a hitch and with the weather favouring us too we can genuinely say that it was our perfect day that we had dreamed of. A massive thank you to the whole team at beauvale who were very friendly and attentive all day and we know that our

guests all feel the same.
