The Media Watch on Climate Change (www.ecoresearch.net/climate) is a public showcase in the environ- mental domain that won the Digital Earth 3D Visualization Challenge sponsored by Google and NASA as well as the Austrian National Award for Multimedia & E-Business in the “virtual community” category. Finance Monitor, the most recent application, analyzes online media coverage about financial markets to provide real-time information services for decision makers in large financial institutions. The EMC Greenplum Unified Analytics Platform enables the seamless integration of these information services with additional data sources and the Chorus productivity layer for data science teams.
