Please sign your childs homework packets before they return them to school on Friday. The nightly assigned reading is a part of their assignment.

We have started taking Reading Counts Quizzes on the computers at school. These, along with at home book reports will earn students points towards Book Its! More info to come!!

Parent/Teacher conference times are being sent home this week for those of you that have returned the scheduling form. I have sent home new forms for those that I have not received yet.

Reading: We are continuing our Reading focus: How do illustrations in a text help the author create a mood for the story? As your child reads each night, try and discuss how their story makes them feel.

Writing: Students are beginning to finish up their Tall Tale Narratives. I am very excited about these and hope to have them hanging in the hallway for conferences!

Math:. We will be moving onto Unit 2 in math. We have been practicing decoding word problems and even writing our own word problems. Please practice multiplying and diving by 6s, 7s, and 8s at home with your student! This helps them build their math fluency!

Science: We will be starting our second unit for science: Matter and Energy.
