Weekly hours / FTE 2 days per week (15 hours) (fixed term 31st Dec 2018)
Salary FTE £19,000.00 Overall function of the roleTo support the maintenance of effective and efficient administration systems for the LEADER Programme and to provide support for the LEADER Team.
Key Tasks Set up and maintain structured paper and electronic auditable records for outline
applications, full applications and grant claims, ensuring that the Rural Payments Agency’s (RPA) recording rules are followed thoroughly and consistently.
Ensure that the Programme Manager and Project Officers are kept informed with the progress of applications including process checks as required by Ngage and RPA.
Take phone call enquiries and carry out first-level checks on potential applicants, such as eligibility of project and postcode checks via the online MAGIC portal.
Update the Rural Payments Agency database (DORA) on a daily basis with application details and appraisal information for grant applicants.
Support the Programme Manager and Project Officers in compiling papers for LAG meetings and Decision Panels.
Record and write up minutes of internal meetings and when required at LAG meetings.
Maintain data capture systems as directed by Ngage Solutions and the RPA.
Help support the team with enquiries generated through the website.
Support the team with arrangement of meetings and diary management for LAG & decision panel meeting.
Person Specification:
Essential Desirable
Excellent and demonstrable communication skills
GCSE Grade C or above English & Maths
Proven numeracy skills
Experience of working in a small dynamic team
Experience of administrative processesBasic knowledge of the three geographical areas covered by the LEADER contracts
Ability to take minutes and notes for internal and external meetings
Proven CRM and database management skills plus Microsoft programmes (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
A knowledge of the rural business sector
Full driving licence, access to a car with business insurance cover
