There is an UP, IN and OUT dimension—which we’ve depicted with the arrows. And if you’re looking at the measurables, this means that we would like to see every person here at Hope attending worship, involved in a “growth group,” and serving on a team. I’m so excited to lead us forward as a church in this mission! Pastor Josh

Hope VBS led by Camp Omega

From the DCE Intern

March flew by with fun things happening along the way in youth and children’s ministry! The high schoolers did their first “Service Sunday” this month by going to Augustana to play board games with the residents. The Sunday School children have been doing some cool art projects as part of their lessons, including painting a cross or crucifix, using magazines to put story-related creations together, and much more. An exciting thing we are looking forward to is having Camp Omega counselors lead our VBS this summer! Make sure to mark your calendars for June 27th-July 1st!

"He sat down opposite the treasury, and watched the crowd putting money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums.  A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which are worth a penny.  Then he called his disciples and said to them, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury.  For all of them have contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on” (Mark 12:41-44).

How many times have we heard this story and wondered if we would have the faith of this poor widow. I know I would think twice before I dropped my last coins into the plate…wondering how I would buy my next meal. God loves a cheerful giver and always provides what we need…when we need it. Giving to the Lord is a very personal decision but ask yourself next time, “Am I giving from my abundance and is God actually getting my leftover funds, or do I give to God first and live on the remainder?” You be the judge.
