1. Meeting with H.E. Sh. Arindam Bagchi, Ambassador, Embassy of India, Zagreb, Croatia at the Embassy of India premises.

H.E. Sh. Arindam Bagchi, Ambassador welcomed the Indian delegation to Zagreb, Croatia and explained about the importance of Croatian RMG market in expanding RMG export from India to Croatia.

Sh. H K L Magu, Chairman-AEPC briefed the Ambassador about the objectives of the visit of the delegation to Zagreb, Croatia and briefed him about the export statistics of RMG from India to Croatia and about the import of RMG by Croatia from the world as per details given below:

Sh. Sudhir Sekhri, Chairman-EP, AEPC informed about the India International Garment Fair which is being organised from 16-18 January, 2019 at International Expo Mart, Greater Noida, India and requested the Ambassador to recommend the Croatian RMG buyers to attend the India International Garment Fair (IIGF). It was also informed that the eligible buyers shall be given complimentary 3 days hotel stay at Greater Noida in a star hotel.

Chairman-EP also informed that India has strengths in availability of cheap skilled manpower, vertically integrated manufacturing plants, reasonable electricity charges, cheap real estate rents and good designing capabilities. The above strengths make India a suitable sourcing destination for the buyers to source RMG from India.

Major brands like Zara, Mango, American Eagle Outfitters, Chicos, Monoprix, Dorthry Perkins, Inditex, Pimki, Justice USA and Super Dry etc. source from India their requirement of readymade garments.

Shri Sudhir Sekhri, Chairman-EP, AEPC also explained about the sourcing model being adopted by big brands like Zara and Mango for sourcing RMG from India.

H.E. Sh. Arindam Bagchi, Ambassador, EOI, Croatia assured about all kind of help the Indian Mission will extend for increasing export of RMG from India to Croatia.

2. Meeting with Ms. Ana Falak, Director of Croatian Employer's Association, Department of Textile and her associates (10th Dec., 2018)

Chairman-AEPC informed the officials of Croatian Employer’s Association about the export of RMG to Croatia and about the import of RMG by Croatia from the world as per details given below:

Ms Ana Falak, Director of Croatian Employer’s Association requested for the list of Indian RMG exporters with their product details so that they can circulate this information to their members. The list of 1208 exporters with their product details has already been sent to them.

3. Meeting with M/s Siscia, Sisak, Croatia

M/s Siscia is a company manufacturing Gents suits and high quality ladies garments (mainly jackets and outer wears etc.). The company is based at Sisac about 45 kms from Zagreb and they are supplying their products to stores like H&M, Mango etc.

4. Delegation members had a Meeting with M/s Varteks at Varazdin, Croatia

M/s Varteks is a company manufacturing Industrial garments and Gents Suits in Croatia. The manufacturing unit of Varteks is about 45 kms. from Zagreb.

The officials of Varteks showed their manufacturing plant of Industrial Garments and Gents Suits to the delegation members. They requested for the list of manufacturers/exporters of Industrial garments from India.

Chairman-AEPC informed that most of the Industrial Garments manufacturers are based at Kolkata in India and they can source their requirement of Industrial Garments from manufacturer/exporters of Kolkata, India.

The list of manufacturer/exporters of Industrial Garments has already been sent to M/s Varteks accordingly.

5. Meeting at M/s Apollo HR facility with Ms Ivana Kos, Wholesale Manager and Ms. Sanja Varjacic Posilovic, Brand Manager Apollo HR.

The delegation met the above officials of M/s Apollo Group at Zacretje, Croatia. This company is about 40 Kms from city of Varazdin. This company mainly manufactures and export Children Garments, Home furnishings etc.

6. Meeting with M/s Kotka at Krapina, Croatia.

M/s Kotka is a company which manufactures and exports Gents Suits to major brands like H&M, Armani etc. They have their own manufacturing unit at Krapina city near Zagreb, Croatia.

The meeting of the delegation was held with Mr. Cerovecki, Owner of M/s Kotka and Mr. Kruno Cerovecki, Member of Management Board and the owner of of M/s Kotka in their office.

Mr. Kruno welcomed the delegation and informed the delegation that they are manufacturer and exporters of Gents Suits to H&M, Zara and Hugo boss. The raw material, fabric and trimmings are supplied by the buyers and they do CMT work in their factory and export the finished garments to all European outlets of the brands mentioned above.

Chairman-AEPC informed Mr. Kruno of M/s Kotka about the export of RMG to Croatia from India and about the import of RMG by Croatia from the world as per details given below:

Mr. Kruno took the delegation to their manufacturing unit and explained about their set up for manufacturing Gents Suits for the buyers based in Europe. He explained that the retail price of each suit varies from Euro-700 to Euro-1000 per piece in the stores in Europe.
