Welcome to the Aspire Customer Awards 2019 for people with Learning Disabilities in Leeds.

The Customer Awards have become an annual event during Leeds Learning Disability Week. This will be our fourth year hosting the event as Aspire CBS.

There are 8 categories and anyone, including friends and support workers, can make a nomination to 7 of these. Only people with a learning disability can make a nomination to the Customer Choice Award. The categories are:

The Adventurer of the Year Award The Active Award The Creativity Award The Friendship Award The Inspirational Person Award The Smile Award The Customer Choice Award The Aspire Award for Achievement

Hopefully, as you read the nomination pack it will all be clear. Please feel free to send COPIES of any photos, work etc. you feel is relevant to the nomination.

Nominations must be in by Wednesday 1st May 2019

Adventurer of the Year

Award

This award is to recognise a CUSTOMER who has a sense of adventure and who enjoys exploring the world.

Someone who has jumped on board the Hogwarts Express, travelled the world on their broomstick and made full use of the marauders map.

Perhaps it is someone you admire who likes to travel or it might be someone who is daring and looks for exciting experiences in life.

Active Award

This award is for a CUSTOMER or groups of CUSTOMERS who regularly take part in a physical activity.

This could be an activity in which they’re off at the speed of a bat, or it could be something gentler like a prowling cat.

They may not be the best at the activity but they show fearless determination, commitment and enthusiasm! Could they be the captain of the quidditch

Creative Award

This award is for a CUSTOMER or a group of CUSTOMERS who are creative.

They could have a wild imagination and the ability to conjure up something interesting and different. Perhaps they take part in an activity which they enjoy and have something to show at the end.

They could have a cauldron full of ideas!

Friendship Award

Do you know someone who you would be incomplete without? Someone who is the Weasley to your Potter?Do you have someone who is your lucky charm?

This award is for a very special friend. Someone who may have helped and supported you through a hard time, or someone who cheers you up.

Have you been friends with someone for years and they have become more like family?

Smile Award

This award is for a CUSTOMER who brightens up your day, someone who chases your dementors away.

A CUSTOMER who makes you smile, laugh or feel happier by just being around them, someone who lights up the room like a candle.

Perhaps they are great at telling jokes, they might have an infectious laugh, like to entertain others, or have a bright and sunny personality.
