Building Energy Savings Check: saving energy with software

With the Viessmann Building Energy Savings Check, suitable

modernization and cost-saving opportunities can be identified

quickly and easily, in addition to being clearly depicted. The

program with TÜV-tested and certified (German technical

supervisory association) calculation engine is available in two

versions – for building tradesmen and end customers.

Detailed building and system parameters for building tradesmen The building tradesmen's version offers comprehensive

possibilities for the detailed input of building parameters. Systems

with up to four heat generators can be simulated and variations of

them compared. The software is available in online and offline

versions.

A new feature of the software is that an option to calculate

ventilation and photovoltaic systems in connection with heat

pumps has been integrated.

Energy efficiency identification: fast track to an energy efficiency label

When the obligatory identification of heat generators according to

the ErP Directive (Energy-Related Products Directive) goes into

effect as September 26, 2015, then the trade professionals are

obliged to classify each new system with an energy efficiency

label. Most of the time, it involves a universal label, as additional

components like water cylinder, photovoltaic system, etc. as well

complete materials and order list. Finally, the software simplifies

the creation of a string plan for the installation and supports the

CAD and configuration browserThe Windows based software sports a completely new interface

and a new search system. Finding examples of systems was also

considerably simplified, as were the display of preceding and

diagram. The stock list function with transmission to the online

order system and the tradesmen's software is helpful to issuing

quick quotations and placing orders.

Vitodesk 100 CAD and configuration browser runs under Windows

7/8 and together with AutoCAD 2014. The new version is available

online and offline. The configuration browser can also be called up

via the central Vitoguide app and the selected configuration

directly assigned to the running project.

Software EnEV 2014The software tool Vitodesk 200 EnEV was synchronized with the

up-to-date 2014 standard. Vitodesk 200 EnEV Pro for residential

and commercial buildings also corresponds to the new standards.

Vitodesk 200 and 300The planning and calculation programs run under all popular

Windows and AutoCAD systems. New diagram generators provide

an extended array of functions, and 3D-heating centers for larger

buildings can be calculated hydraulically.

The following functions are also included:

- U-value calculation

- Heating load simplified or according to DIN 12831

- Radiator layout (including quick layout design)

- Floor heating layout (including quick layout design)

An extended building manager permits simple creation of 3D floor

plans from old 2D drawings (also PDFs and bitmaps). The results

are ultimately automatically taken up by the calculation tools for

heating and cooling loads as well as for the EnEV.

Economical maintenance of Vitodesk 200/300Continuous maintenance of a software package contributes to

efficient and defect-free operating procedures. For its calculation

programs Vitodesk 200/300, Viessmann offer markedly more

economical prices when compared to the price of individual

updates. All software licenses can be updated to the latest version

for only 20 percent of the list price no matter when the old version

was bought. The offer lasts until April 30th, 2015.

The customer is guaranteed one major update per year based on

a minimum contract duration of three years. Furthermore, an

additional special training offer is included in the maintenance

contract.

Comprehensive range of products for all fuel sourcesApps and software are part of Viessmann's comprehensive

product range. The company offers a wide variety of customized

solutions with efficient systems and output from 1.0 to 120,000 kW

for all application areas and all fuel sources. These include wall-

mounted condensing boilers from 1.9 to 150 kW and floor-standing

condensing boilers from 1.0 to 6,000 kW in addition to combined

heat and power generation units (CHP units) from 0.75 to 530 kWel

and from 1.0 to 660 kWth, respectively. Also part of this impressive

portfolio are systems for renewables including solar thermal

systems with flat-plate and vacuum tube collectors for DHW

generation, auxiliary heating, and process heat generation,

biomass boilers from 2.4 kW to 50,000 kW for wood logs, chips,

and pellets, heat pumps from 1.7 to 2,000 kW for use with

geothermal heat, groundwater or ambient air, and photovoltaic

systems.

heating networks and bioenergy villages – from initial feasibility
