Miss Gater Maths Set Week Beginning 18/5/20 Morning everyone. This week we are having a wee break from fractions and are going to look at some maths work you will have covered with Mr Law on angles, triangles and quadrilaterals. Hopefully, you have got to grips with using the website National Oak Academy over the last few weeks as we will be using it again for our main teaching points this week. I have noticed that if you are using an Ipad, that the Main Activity/worksheets do show up but they don’t show on my PC, which is confusing so just pause the video and do the questions before listening to the answer if you can’t see the slides/worksheet. All of the work is revision of work you have done so you should all be able to complete the work independently. If you have any problems or questions, please contact me using my email address which is below – k endal.gater @craiglockhart.edin.sch.uk Numeracy and Maths Learning Intentions Task 1 – To find the value of missing angles Task 2 – To compare and classify triangles Task 3- To compare and classify quadrilaterals Task 4- To find unknown angles in triangles Activities and Resources The following procedure tells you how to navigate each of the tasks/lessons so read through this first before clicking on the links below. Morning everyone. This week we are having a wee break from fractions and are going to look at some maths

work you will have covered with Mr Law on angles, triangles and quadrilaterals. Hopefully, you have got to grips with using the website National Oak Academy over the last few weeks as we will be using it again for our main teaching points this week. I have noticed that if you are using an Ipad, that the Main Activity/worksheets do show up but they don’t

show on my PC, which is confusing so just pause the video and do the questions before listening to the answer if you can’t see the slides/worksheet.

All of the work is revision of work you have done so you should all be able to complete the work independently.

Lesson/Task 1Complete any written work from the video in your jotter.Additional TaskHave a go at the worksheet, finding angles on a straight line. You do not need to print it out, you can calculate the angle and write the answer in your jotter. Sheet one is ‘spicy’ and sheet 2 is ‘hot’ for a real challenge so pick which one you would like to have a go at. Click on the icon below or find the worksheets at the bottom of this file.

Lesson/Task 2Complete any written work from the video in your jotter. Additional TaskHave a go at the activities on the worksheet. It says to print out the sheet and cut out the triangles, but you do not need to if you do not have a printer, just identify the triangles and have a go at the extension. Click on the icon below or find the worksheets at the bottom of this file.
