Task: Write a character description.

Explanation of activity: To write a character description of one of the 3 main characters (Rock, Paper or Scissors) from the animation clip. You must use the key information from the checklist to support you.

Checklist:

figurative language – similes, metaphors, alliteration and onomatopoeia.

range of openers (ISPACED) powerful and adventurous language (exciting verbs, adjectives and noun

Model Plan:

What shape is their face? What is their most striking facial feature? Sharp and angular face with a pointed, jutted out chin. Inside his mouth were thin, needle-sharp teeth

What is their style? What clothes do they like wearing? Metal armour protects him. He glimmers in the sun and casts a shadow around.

How tall are they and what is their build? Serus was powerful with broad, muscular shoulders.

What colour and length/style is their hair? Mop of jet black, unruly hair

Personality? Rage swept through him like a tidal wave. It had no limits – one vicious flash of temper after another. He hissed angrily through clenched teeth as he spoke.

Sharp and angular, his chin jutted out in determination as his eyes narrowed; he was now completely oblivious to everything apart from his target: Paper...his nemesis.
