How many stars can you collect on Doodle Maths and Doodle Tables?Keep working hard on Doodle Maths and Doodle Tables. Spending just 10 minutes a day could get you into your green zone.

Can you measure time?Watch the Storybots song to learn how many seconds in one minute and how many minutes in one hour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEStq1e1Qrc

Can you carry out the activities and get someone in your family to time you to see how long it takes you? Maybe you could try the activities again and try and beat your time or time someone else carrying out the activities?

With only 1 minute (60 seconds) on the clock try and see how many star jumps you can do and how many times you can write your name. Can you beat Miss Bailie and Mr Bradley? Miss Bailie wrote her name 14 times in one minute and Mr Bradley wrote his name 17 times.

What is the difference between an Evergreen tree and a Deciduous tree?In Y1 we have previously discussed the seasons and how the weather changes throughout. We would like you to think about how plants, specifically trees, change throughout each season. Can you remember the differences between Evergreen trees and Deciduous trees? Watch this video to see different types of trees. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dn0kDB_gS9w

Page 16: €¦  · Web viewRead Write Inc. phonics have been uploading daily phonics lessons on Youtube. These will be running till at least August. Please follow the link below.

Why not go for a walk and take photographs of the different trees where you live and see if they are Evergreen or Deciduous. You could also create a picture to show how each type of tree changes throughout the seasons. Or listen to this story about Sid the Seed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jm12JKhNnWY) and create a story map or comic strip to retell the story. You might even write your own story about an Oak (Deciduous) and a Pine (Evergreen) tree who were best friends.

Here are a few more activities about trees/plants. https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/blog/2020/03/tree-id-kids/

Can you design, make and evaluate your own board game?Watch the video from Miss Bailie to hear about your orange rainbow challenge for this week!See below for some board game templates.
