Problem

In Togo, health coverage discriminates between Lomé the capital and the cities of the interior. In fact, wissan (Blitta prefecture), like the cities most exposed to endemic diseases, has a rate of malaria and diarrheal diseases of 70% which weakens the welfare of women and children especially. Instead of letting these communities deal with herbs, bark and plant roots, the Action Committee for Research and Development will provide them with a health center and hand washing training.

Activities

Operations of a clinic serving patients with malaria and providing them with medicines, mosquito nets, water purification tablets, ditches and water holds. If we provide bed nets and water purification tablets, we can reduce the number of cases of malaria. Training of young people and children in hand washing and hand hygiene.

Impact

The project will provide health care to 2,000 people living in remote areas by enabling them to escape from various ills, which will contribute to their well-being and enable them to work to escape poverty. The education of children and young people in care and hand washing will enable them to be in good health and to go to school regularly by learning their lessons and to succeed brilliantly in their final examinations. years.

Problem

Recent political unrest in northern Togo has pushed even more people across borders in Burkina Faso, Ghana and Benin. Some of these people are children who have lost their families because of war and disease. Instead of storing them in a refugee camp, the R & D Action Committee will provide them with a family, a home, an education and the opportunity to be part of a larger solution for their community.

activitiesWe will install girls and children traumatized by political unrest in the homes. We will provide them with classrooms, offer them free education and provide school kites and meals. This will allow them to be inserted into their community and to succeed easily in their studies.

ImpactThis project will build four classrooms and teach several generations of students, who will succeed brilliantly and be able to easily integrate the job market. This will allow them to have income to feed themselves and their families while improving their living conditions.

Project3 titleInstall 200 hives in four villagessummaryThe Action Committee for Research and Development plans to install 200 hives in four communities in Blitta prefecture to help young people produce and sell honey. This project also produces 10,000 fertilizer trees to enable these young people to produce organic farming.Amount of financing• $ 100 will give a job to an unemployed youth• $ 60 buys a hive• $ 50 will build a toolbox• $ 20 will buy bags of seedlings• $ 10 will buy fertilizer seeds• $ 25 to buy protective tools for honey harvesting• $ 40 will buy cans to collect honey• $ 35 will buy bottles to measure honey

ProblemYoung people represent more than 50% of the Togolese population in search of employment. These young people are forced to leave the country to go to neighboring countries and then take the Mediterranean to travel to Europe at the risk of their lives. Instead of leaving these young unemployed to themselves, the Action Committee for Research and Development will train them to create businesses by installing beehives and tools for the production of honey and the practice of the organic farming.

ImpactThis project supports 200 young people in job creation through the establishment of income-generating activities, which is the production of honey and the production of fertilizer trees for the production of organic food. This will allow other young people to come and train and reproduce the same activities in their communities for the diversity of jobs.
