Additionally, students are trained in the Activator Method of instrument adjusting through 14 university systems in the United States and in 9 international schools, colleges and universities. First published by Mosby/Elsevier in 1997, the textbook “The Activator Method,” is now in its second edition and remains the definitive work on this controlled, low-force adjusting system.

Activator has been the subject of 23 clinical trials, and is the only instrument and instrument technique to have been the subject of clinical trials. More than 150 abstracts and manuscripts on the Activator Method have been published with the support of the National Institute of Chiropractic Research. Additional research efforts have been funded by the National Institutes of Health, as well as universities in the United States and internationally. The resulting abstracts and manuscripts have been a valuable tool to support the practitioner’s treatment of problems of the spine.
