Word StudyLong I Patterns (ie, igh, y, i_e)
Students will have the same pattern for two weeks at a time and test every other Friday. Starting this Friday I will be taking spelling tests for a grade. Words you can practice sounding out/spelling at home with this pattern: pie, quiet, fight,
height, my, fly, fire, surprise, prize.Also, there will be a set of high frequency words on the spelling test each week. They are not pattern words, but words
your child needs to know how to spell. These should be studied at home: first, people, know, through, write
