Celtic English Academy, Cardiff City CentreCeltic English Academy, established in 2004, is a friendly and welcoming British Council accredited English language Academy in the centre of Cardiff. We take pride in our small class sizes, great teachers and wonderful support staff. We offer a range of beginner to advanced level English language courses for international students including, but not limited to; General English, IELTS Exam Preparation, Cambridge Exam Preparation, Teacher Development Courses, One-to-One lessons for adult students, and bespoke packaged programmes for both adult and young learners.
Each year approximately 1000 adult students with an average of 11 weeks stay study with us from up to 50 different nationalities. We accommodate 150 - 350 students at any one time and we strive to always have a motivating and student-focused environment where we can offer a great service to all that study with us

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GROUP AND JUNIOR PROGRAMME OFFICERThe person appointed to the role of Group Manager will be line-managed by the CEO.
The Group Manager is responsible for overseeing group provision, and ensuring a quality service to our customers. The role is also to maximise the sales of groups packages, with careful consideration in pursuing those which will provide the greatest financial return. They will manage partner relationships in China, Italy and Russia. They will provide all group quotes, negotiate commission and programme content and close sales. The Group Manager will closely follow market trends for groups and adjust package offerings to match client expectations.
They will line manage and work in close collaboration with the Group and Junior Programme Officer to ensure the successful delivery of groups packages and the Junior Summer Programme.
Key responsibilities
Pursuing business opportunities for partnerships or new market developments related to groups and juniors
Work towards sales, groups profitability and satisfaction with package KPIs as set by the CEO Represent Celtic English Academy externally at fairs or when attending any relevant conferences and
workshop and conduct overseas marketing related activities, as needed. Working collaboratively within the wider team to support the delivery of great products. Overseeing group provision, and ensuring a quality service to our customers. Collecting, recording and acting upon group feedback. Plan the sales management and strategy of groups, in consultation with the CEO. Completing forecast and report on sales, costs and business performance of groups, in consultation with
the CEO. Manage communications with a wide range of agents with particular responsibilities for China, Italy and
Russia. Line manage the Group and Junior Programme Officer, paying special attention to supervising and
coaching methods for quality control, organisation and communication of key documents internally and externally to make sure all connected parties and stakeholders have the information they need, in good time and that it is saved logically and completely into the Drive.
Liaise with external stakeholders and providers to create consistent standard of services, evolving professional relationships with local suppliers.
