Vocabulary: As part of each work task for this term you will have some vocabulary to learn. You can learn this in various ways. Part of developing your skill as a language learner is to find a way of learning vocabulary that suits you.

Some people find making flashcards is very helpful, and others make links to words in other languages. The skill is finding a method that works.

Let’s start by making flashcards and spending time learning the following vocab that was encountered in the unit you looked at before half time. Make flashcards for each one and then spend 30 minutes learning the words until you do not have to see the French word to know what it is. Use online dictionaries to help you with pronunciation.

J’ai passé quinze jours en Normandie avec mes parents dans une villa à deux pas de la plage. Heureusement il y avait du soleil presque tous les jours, alors on est allés souvent à la plage. J’ai joué au volley, je me suis reposé et je me suis baignée de temps en temps.

Le soir nous avons mangé dans des restaurants locaux. On a surtout mangé des fruits de mer et de la pizza! Ça va, parce que je ne suis pas végétarien. Mes parents adorent lire et faire des balades, alors pendant qu’ils se promenaient, ma sœur et moi, on s’est fait bronzer. On a aussi fait la connaissance d’autres jeunes qui étaient là.
