Just as the early Christians gathered together after Jesus’ resurrection, we also gather with a sense of joy as we recall our Christian story, and welcome the risen Christ among us. I warmly welcome you here today to (…parish name …). Let us be still for a moment as we prepare to celebrate this liturgy. (20 seconds – stay at microphone). Welcome! Let us sing together. Prayer of the Faithful – People’s Response: Alleluia, Alleluia (Note to reader: Ensure the people know the response. You may need to read it out first. Alternatively, change the response to one they know.) For the Church – that we will be people who show no partiality, but who honour the dignity of all, and treat all people with respect. For leaders of nations – that they will respect neighbouring countries, strive to live in peace, and have appropriate regard for the boundaries between one country and another.
