We looked at different types of leaves and learned how to find out what they were called.

We were trying to solve problems by drawing a diagram.

We studied different leaves from the school garden. We used a key to help identify them. We know that we have beech, oak, rowan and hawthorn in the garden.

We visited Paxton House.

We were learning what it would be like to see like a bug.

We were looking at the tooth marks left by a squirrel and mouse.

We were making butterflies by dipping tissue paper in lots of glue and wrapping it around pipe cleaners.

We were looking for invertebrates under logs and stones.

We found slugs, ants, woodlice, a toad, beetles, spiders and caterpillars.

We learned how to pond dip at Paxton House.

When we were pond dipping we found newts, water boatman, snails, snail eggs, diving beetles, hog louse, water spider, pond skater and a leech.

We used a key to help identify leaves in our school grounds.

We thought about different types of poems. We now need to think of an animal to write a poem about.

This is our “minibeast banana”. We need to wait until it turns black and then we can try and catch some beetles.

We used the computer games to help learn about fraction, subtraction and problem solving.

The Circles were learning to find numbers in between.
