ONE: Why do we confess our sin?
ALL: Because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
ONE: But why do we do this together?
ALL: Because we are a community, a covenant people.
ONE: Then let us confess our sin.
ALL: You call us to confession, God of grace. You call us to lay ourselves before you, in all of our vulnerability and weakness, knowing your promise to meet us in love. But we hold back. We are afraid to look deep inside. We fear what we might see. We fear what you might see. But we know, Holy One, that you are slow to anger, abounding in steadfast mercy. Our church believes providing worship for visitors is a vital part of our mission. Our building was planned to accommodate the many visitors who come to this vacation community.
