Dear Residents of the West Chicago Park District

Thanks to all who participated in the grand opening of the West Chicago Park District ARC Center. Over 1500 visited on opening day, and experienced the potential uses of this new facility. Since that time, over 1400 people have registered for the usage of the new fitness center. And, several dozen now are current users of the walking track, meeting rooms, Treehouse and open gyms. Beyond those opportunities, a myriad of other activities are available to you right here in West Chicago.

Over the next several months, staff will be observing just exactly what the community is looking for at the new ARC Center. It is your space to use, feel free to let us know how we are doing and what you would like beyond the current offerings. And if you have not been here, come see what you are missing.

The West Chicago Park District is committed to bring a healthier lifestyle to West Chicago residents and more fun in your life. Please get out there and participate in something you will enjoy, a dance class, a fitness plan, special event, birthday party, and bring the kids to open gym.

Recently, the West Chicago Park District was awarded a PARC grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. This grant is valued at $2.5M and will allow the District to embark on the development of an additional facility in Reed Keppler Park. This facility will be an indoor turf center for sports performance training in soccer, lacrosse, football, golf, softball, baseball and other indoor turf activities. No tax dollars are needed for this new facility, more to come about this project later.

Thank you for your continued support.
