Venue Hire

A venue hire fee of $595 is payable for wedding ceremonies held at the Wanneroo Botanic Gardens and includes the use of gardens for photographs. This fee covers entrance of the bridal party, all guests, photographers and musicians for a one and half hour time period. The fee includes 10 chairs, wrought iron table and chair setting for signing the registry and power to the selected site. During the one and a half hour time period, you will be the only wedding ceremony in the park; however a maximum of one other wedding party may be having photographs taken within other parts of the grounds.

We have three unique ceremony areas each with their own garden flavour, providing you with

a variety of options to create that perfect setting for your special day. You can choose between The Wedding Deck, The Waterfall Garden or The Fountain Garden. The gardens can be booked at the set times of 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm or 5:30pm Tuesday through Sunday. The gardens are not available for wedding ceremonies on public holidays.

We are unable to prevent players, casual observers or other members of the public from entering any area of the park during your wedding.

A fee of $200 applies for photographs in the gardens, when the ceremony is held in a location other than the Wanneroo Botanic Gardens.

PhotosYou are welcome to use any area of the gardens for your photographs. We do ask that you avoid any area where another wedding ceremony is taking place. Please take care not to step on plants or walk in garden beds, our gardens are both beautiful and fragile.

Booking and PaymentTentative bookings will be held for two weeks, after which time a $200 deposit and a completed application form are required to confirm your booking. If the deposit and booking form are not received within 14 days your tentative booking will be forfeited without further notice and the date will be released to be booked by other parties. Final payment is due 28 days prior to the date booked. If you would like to meet with our wedding coordinator Karen Trevis, to discuss your requirements, please call the number below to arrange an appointment.

Please note: Bookings can be taken and confirmed up to 18 months in advance.

It is important to note that the appearance of our lawns and gardens can change significantly with the seasons and may not look identical to the day you made your booking. We recommend you view the gardens again 14-28 days prior to your ceremony date. It is highly recommended that weddings between May and November be booked on the Deck Area only.

CancellationRefunds of monies paid (less $25 administration fee) will be made upon written notice of cancellation (minimum 90 days prior to wedding date). No refund will be issued if notice of cancellation is received less than 90 days prior to the event. Change of date, time or garden location will be accommodated where possible but must be requested at least 30 days prior to the event.

Chairs and Wedding DécorThe venue hire fee includes; the use of a white wrought iron table and chair setting for signing the registry (does not include table cloth), 10 white chairs and power to your ceremony site.

InsuranceWanneroo Botanic Gardens accepts no responsibility for any damage or loss to any property prior, during or after your event. We recommend that you take out your own insurance if necessary.

DamageClients are financially responsible for any damage to the property, garden beds or equipment supplied, caused by guests associated with your event. Please be aware that all wedding party members and guests are required to observe our regular conditions of entry, these conditions are available at www.wanneroobotanicgardens.com.au.

ConfettiThe throwing of confetti, rice and alike is not permitted, however it is acceptable to throw

flower petals in the gardens or use bubbles in place of confetti.

Fixtures and SignsPlease do not attach any sign or fixture to any wall, door, post, tree or any other surface. Tents, marquees or umbrellas must be approved by management prior to the event and only erected in approved locations. We recommend that you use ‘ushers’ to greet and direct your guests to the ceremony location. Maps of the gardens are available and can be downloaded from our website if you would like to providethese to guests.

Garden BedsPlease do not stand in the garden beds for photographs or pick flowers from the gardens. You are welcome to use the paths that wind through the gardens for bridal party photos.
