Imagine you wanted a senior pharmacist to feel grateful that you are the person who will be taking over what they have spent their entire life in pharmacy creating, which goal would you share first? 7. If everything were possible and money no object, what would you most like to be remembered for? 8. Review everything you’ve written in answer to questions 1 through 7, and answer this question again: Why have you chosen to pursue a life in pharmacy?

If you have given this exercise your best effort, the answer to question #8 is likely something you have never said to yourself and almost certainly not something you have shared with others.

The best thing you can do now is begin sharing it with others.

Doing so will not only help you clarify its meaning and how you express it, it will also help you enroll others in the attainment of your vision.

When people see you are committed to and clear about what you want, they are better able to decide if they can make a contribution and, human nature being what it is, will make some contribution, no matter how small.

A final word about sharing your vision and goals with others: When you say you are going to do something, everyone you tell becomes part of your accountability team.
