WAVES-12 is a carrier-class Managed Multi-Service Access Platform, designed to enable complete service integration for Last Mile. With a high cross
connect matrix of 1008*1008 VC-12 or 16*16 VC-4, WAVES-12 provides access to legacy TDM based services as well as broadband IP based data services over
Copper & Fiber transmission media.
WAVES-12 provides support for multi-rates starting from 64Kbps-2.3Mbps on SHDSL technology, 128Kbps-45.6Mbps on SHDSL.bis technology and
provides higher data-rates and multi-service with its Optical Multiplexing & Ethernet over SDH (EoS) tributary modules. The services can be aggregated to
either STM-1/STM-4 for an SDH uplink or Fast Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet to support migration to NGN-IP based networks.
The 6U high chassis consists of 15 slots with 2 slots for dual-redundant hot swappable power supply modules, one Network Management module to provide in-
band & out of band management options with Console access, TELNET, SNMP & LITEVIEW NMS application. The remaining 12 slots can be used to populate
the aggregation cards and the tributary cards.
