KOSTA’S KORNER
Hello Wauwatosa’s Active Older Adults!
The Wauwatosa School District asked that we
share the following information with you regard-
ing their Facilities Planning survey coming this
spring. Please read below. Hope you all have a
wonderful month of March. Kosta
Your Input Matters: Community-Wide Survey
coming this spring regarding Wauwatosa
School District Master Facilities Planning
As part of the Wauwatosa School District’s Strategic
Plan to be sound stewards of resources, the District has
taken on the process of creating a Long-Range Mas-
ter Facilities Plan to determine the most fiscally respon-
sible answer to identified major facility needs, while
also assessing how to best align our facilities with the
changes in education and teaching. A community-
based Facilities Advisory Committee was created in
February of 2017 and over the course of the past year,
it has worked through the findings of the study, studied
school finance, toured our buildings, and is currently
working on prioritizing needs and developing potential
options for solutions.
As part of the process, the District and Facilities Adviso-
ry Committee hosted six Community Workshops in the
fall to gather broad community input and the process
to gather additional input is ongoing.
Every Wauwatosa resident will have an opportunity to
weigh in again via a Community Wide survey that will
be mailed to every home later this spring. Please
watch your mailbox for this. Your input is important and
matters! More information around the specific timeline
of the survey will be shared when we have it.

cess to date by visiting our website,
