PROJECT DESCRIPTION The City of Phoenix has equipment, pipe manholes and
other structures at various facilities throughout the wastewater system infrastructure
Coatings are applied to equipment, pipe, manholes and other structures to help protect the infrastructure from the harsh wastewater environment
For these coatings to be effective they require routine maintenance. The continual upkeep of protective coatings enhances and extends the life of the infrastructure
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Example: Inspect removal of T-lock and installation of corrosion resistant coating
The general scope of work includes the following:
Evaluation of coating systems; Testing of existing coatings and substrates for
composition and physical properties, including lead and asbestos;
Coating failure analysis; Specification review and document preparation
for selected coating systems;
SCOPE OF WORK
Cost estimates for various coating options, including long-term maintenance programs;
Review and analysis of protective coatings of chemical containment systems;
Train staff in coating applications, including surface preparation, application, chemical containment systems, regulatory compliance requirements, testing of coatings;
Ability to work within confined spaces in conformance with OSHA, local laws and standards;
Inspection and testing services

Scope of Work
The City will select up to two firms to:
Provide technical assistance and inspection services for the
• 23rd Avenue WWTP (not 24th Street)
• Wastewater collection system
• Cave Creek WRP (new)
Changes from RFQ
• Remove 91st Avenue from this RFQ
• Add Cave Creek WRP to the RFQ
• Up to two firms may be selected
• If two firms are selected, they may both may receive work from 23rd Ave WWTP, Cave Creek WRP, or Wastewater Collection facilities, depending on needs

Cover letter, front and back covers, Table of Contents and tab dividers will NOT be counted toward the maximum page limit, UNLESS they include information that may be considered by the selection panel.
