A great trick to help you remember the order, left to right for

a basic table setting is to just picture the word “FORKS.” F for Fork O for Plate (the shape) R ight of Plate K for Knife S for Spoon

Table Setting GuideOTHER THINGS TO REMEMBER:

PROPER EATING Chew with closed mouth No talking with food in mouth No slurping, finger licking, belching or grooming/place accessories under table or chair Pass food, salt, and pepper to the right

PROPER POSTURE No leaning or elbows on the table Gentlemen wait for Ladies before sitting, standing or leaving the table

HAND FOOD - It is perfectly acceptable to use your hands to eat:

breads ‘hors doers (cheese & crackers, chicken wings, just

to name a few) other finger foods (tacos, mini-burgers, egg rolls,

just to name a few)
