Function：

The waste rubber granular / Spiral Rubber Grinder LXF-series is mainly used in the middle of

a tyre recycle line to process the tyre chips of several cm large into rubber granules with

average size of several mm( typically 4-8 mm). LXF Series uses a spiral rotor to squeeze the

rubber into granules and separate the rubber from the steel, by adjusting the machine,

granules of different average size can be produced, this procedure is usually called coarse

grinding, or granulizing.

Typical rubber granules produced by LXF-250, a mixture of different size rubber granules

LXF-series can be used in our professional series tyre recycle line, but many of our clients

also buy LXF-series separately and integrate into their own existing tyre recycling system.

With the rubber processed into much smaller granules, it is now possible to remove most of

the steel wires/cords mixed in the rubber. Therefore LXF-series granulators/ grinders are

usually used in combine with magnetic separators as a set.

Advantages of adding LXF series in a tyre recycle line / rubber

Compare to the traditional method of making rubber powder, in which rubber pieces

produced by crushers/ shredders are directly sent into pulverizers, 3 significant advantages

are brought by adapting the coarse grinding procedure:

The purity of the rubber powder gets improved significantly, as much less tiny steel particles generated

during pulverization. This is very important for clients who makes high quality rubber products with the

recycled rubber.

The working life of rollers of the pulverizers becomes 3 times longer as they no longer need to handle

steel wires mixed in the rubber.

The productivity of rubber pulverizers can be increased by at least 60% because they only need to

handle pure, much smaller rubber granules.

more and more recycled rubber powder is being used to produce high quality rubber

products, such as new tyres, and new inner tubes of various vehicles to partly replace natural

raw rubber, Impurities such as metal particles can be very damaging to the quality.

Traditional tyre recycle procedure without coarse grinding procedures rubber chips

are pulverized directly by two-roller rubber pulverizer.

How the machine works:

1. First the rubber chips, usually produced by tyre crushers/shredders, are conveyed into

LXF- Series’ grinding chamber.

2. The spiral rotor grinds the rubber chips into granules, the rubber and the steel wires of

radial tyres mixed in the rubber are now forced to be separated from each other. The

mixture of rubber and steel wires then be outputted to the output conveyor.

3. Then magnetic separators are used to separate most of the steel wires from the rubber,

usually 2 magnetic separators are used, one roller-type or belt type, the other box type. The

separation rate of steel is over 98%, even 99%.

Note:

The belt separator over the conveyor does the first

separation; most steel wires are removed by it.

The rest of the rubber is then be conveyed into the box

magnetic separator which is idea to remove the tiny steel

wires/ particles left.
