Standard Designs For Army Dining Facilities

Work with the Norfolk District Corps of Engineers (NDCOE) on developing new standard designs for Army dining facilities based on the MILCON transformation and LEED certifications

Standard designs are being developed using the Building Information Models (BIM) . The BIM show the dining facility in 3-D document.

BIM Designs will be used as the construction document to reduce design time.

MCA Dining Facility Projects Awarded in FY 08


MCA Funds

1. No MCA dining facility projects were funded in FY 08

2. Funds were programmed but not funded at the installation

3. FY 09 funds: working with HQ IMCOM to control and keep the funds at HQ DA (G4)

4. HQ IMCOM provide funds to the Activity for MCA projects based on ACES request


Food Service Equipment (FSE)

Working with DSCP to obtain National Stock Numbers (NSN) for food service equipment to support the FEDSTRIP/MILSTRIP requisitions

Working with DSCP on developing a catalog for the food service equipment

Issue: DSCP is having problems with manufacturer’s providing prices that are good for one year
