Student Support Group (SSG) meetings are currently being held with Teachers, families, students and with Allied Health staff where necessary. These SSG meetings are a great time to review your child’s progress and establish goals and make any necessary adjustments. SSG’s are a fantastic platform for everyone to come together so I hope everyone is able to take the opportunity to catch up. Many SSG’s have already occurred however if this has not happened as yet then your child’s teacher will be in contact shortly to book a time if they have not done so already. I would like to congratulate the Junior and most of Middle & Senior school students who are now continuing to wear school uniform. We appreciate the efforts of families to make this happen. The school colours are red and black and Junior and Middle school wear red tops whilst the Senior students wear black with red. It is also great to see so many students wearing hats and sunscreen during the hot weather. With temperatures looking to be in the 30’s this week can I encourage all students and families to check that they have a sunhat and drink bottle (please label all belongings with your child’s name). The school does have sunscreen available and staff will help students apply the sunscreen before going outside. On Wednesday 20 th of March we will be holding an information session for families about adult service provider opportunities that are in our local community. This is a great opportunity for families in the Senior school to come along and hear about all the great opportunities your child may be able to have access to when they finish their schooling at Warragul & District Specialist School. The evening will begin at 6pm in the Multipurpose Room at Warragul and District Specialist School and we strongly encourage you to come along and attend. Have a great week!

Bella’s Monday news

This year has been the best year in the world. Monday’s has been grate at

Baw Baw skills is good because you learn about different skills and my skill is

automotive and it is learning about cars. And on the first day back I was a little

scared because I haven’t done it in a long time but now I am getting better at

it as I go along. On my first day back I changed a wheel and over the week we

learn about different things. Last week the group had a look under the 2 cars

it was so cool. And the better I get I might get do other good things l could do

hope works and yesterday my dad came down and had a look around I was

very happy to see him I love my dad coming on Monday’s. And I am hoping to

continue doing automotive on Mondays but hopefully I get to do other fun

things throughout the year.
