War With An Impact The American Civil war is a war which left a lasting impression on the human mind as it let to the beginning of several things and unusal memories. Be it the music during the war, the unifroms which were reproduced and the variety of leather goods provided during this phase. The uniforms which have their genesis uniform during this period are also known as civil war uniform reproductions . The U.S. Army uniform finally took its form in the 1858 regulations and were called as it consisted of Campaign Uniform, Parade Uniform and Fatigue Uniform. The civil war uniform reproductions were called so as when the war was still going on the uniform regulations was imperfect and were adapted according to the local conditions of the area. Uniforms were adapted to local conditions, the commander's preference and what was available, for example, shoulder straps began replacing epaulettes in dress occasions. As a result almost any variation of the official uniform could be found as officers and men abandoned some items, adopted others and modified still others. The civil war uniform basically consisted of a headgear, coat, a greatcoat and trousers in various forms or styles as the uniform was modified according to the local conditions. The uniforms were reciprocal to the region where the war was being fought during the civil. Hence officers and caders occasionally wore gray as per their location. Interestingly, a number of soldiers used to replace their regulation and would wear popular styles of hats than the ususal ones. Also, the marines were given leather shakos before the onset of war but it was were replaced with kepis. The civil war leather goods are still popular owing to their antique styles and trends.
