Transcript of Want to see the CV that got me an interview with EVERY airline I applied to?

My CV got me aninterview withevery airline I

applied to

Now, I don't wantto start on a

negative note, but guess what% of cabin crew

CVs end up in thebin?

Yip, over

90% of ALL CVs sent to airlines are BINNED!

But, you can follow myfive step plan and make

sure YOUR CV is notbinned!

Hold on, who am Ito be giving out

advice?

You're right- howrude of me not to

introducemyself...

My name is Pauline Park and, as well as being co-founder andDirector of Mondrago- My Travel Teacher, I’ve been teaching

Travel and Tourism for more than 20 years. In that time, I havehelped 1000’s of students get their dream job and now I’d like

to help you

PS- say hello to Eddie- my lovely dog!

In order to fullyunderstand the cabin

crew recruitment process,I applied to LOADS of

airlines...

In fact, I applied to all of these...

and I was invited to interviews for

EVERY SINGLEONE

for all of theseairlines?

In this (and subsequent)presentations, I’m going to tell you

the exact five steps I used to createa CV that got me an interview with

every airline I applied to.

Avoid the biggest CabinCrew CV mistake of them

all...

Step one

As Director of Mondrago- My Travel Teacher, I read over 100 CVsEVERY day

I have lost count of the number of GENERIC CVs I have read andhonestly, it’s one big giant

BORE! Nothing will make me switch off quicker

than a bog standard CV that hasobviously been written with no thoughtwhatsoever to the job they are applying

for.

Now, putyourself in your

recruiter'sshoes for amoment...

Surely you’d want peoplewho were PASSIONATE

about wanting to work foryour particular airline?

Instead, I am constantly bombared with CVs which have a personal statement along these lines…

“My objective is to be able to work in aposition where I am able to utilise my

skills and abilities effectively, learningand growing with the company in the

process. My goal is to reach a positionin a company where I am able to

progress into positions of higher levelsof responsibility”

Now, would you thinkthis person had a

DRIVING PASSION forbeing cabin crew?

So many of you talk tome of cabin crew beingyour dream job- and I

don’t doubt it is!However, I cannot think

of ONE CV I have readthat demonstrates this

desire.

This isn’t just my opinion however. All ofthe cabin crew and travel industry

recruiters I have spoken to lament thislack of passion as well.

No, not THAT type of passion!

I'm talking about a passion for becoming cabincrew!

So, how todemonstrate thispassion to cabincrew recruiters?

I'll tell you in mynext presentation! speak to you soon x
