CONGRATULATIONS ON A FANTASTIC SENIOR

PRESENTATION DAY It was a cold and miserable day and, no doubt, we all would have liked to have stayed in, but what a great turn out for our Senior Presentation Day.

A fantastic way to ‘pat ourselves on the back’ and congratulate everyone for another great season at Wanda. A big thank you to all our special guests and VIP’s who attended the day to wish us well.

So many fantastic lifesaving awards and our competitors did us proud. A great atmosphere upstairs in the Founders Room afterwards and thank you all for staying and sharing the day and evening together.

Congratulations to Mark Sargeant (Sarge) on receiving the C V Forshaw Trophy as the most consistent club member for the season for his efforts in, not only Stage II of the building works, but also for the time and effort in organising our successful World Team as Team Manager to bring home the title of ‘World Youth Team Champions’.

The Board has decided to allow members to have 21st’s

parties in the upstairs Founders Room. There will be strict conditions which include:

The member who is 21 must have been a member for a minimum of three (3) years

Security

Guest list

Time restrictions

Strict Responsible Service of Alcohol

The event can only be booked by the member (no relative)

Each event is subject to approval by the Board of Directors

WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

- R & R, in particular, under 15’s.

- Surf board riding and

- Boat rowers

Of course, all other categories are open to members but we would like to try and build up these sections. If you or your friends would be interested please contact the club so that we can put you with the right person to get you started.

Friday 13th September 2013 at Woolooware Golf Course.

IRB Driver’s and Crewman Course

New course commencing Monday 27th May 2013 at the club.

6.00pm start.

Crew and drivers must hold their Bronze Medallion.

Crew must be 15 years old.

Drivers must be 17 year’s of age.

You must hold your Crewman’s Certificate to become an IRB driver.

This course will run for approximately 8 weeks and will involve two training sessions per week (one night per week and one weekend session).
